"Other than the semi-mythical waffling at the end, that sounds like a plan to me." Alicia replied, happy to let the Eldar go in first and take the heat to leave the hostiles ahead of the group open to an attack from the rear. All in all, this little mission hasn't been that bad... Even if they had lost Tyler and some other guy and while Seranos held out a hope that Tyler might come back given that he had just vanished rather than get crushed, she wasn't counting on that seemingly unlikely turn of events becoming the truth of the matter.
'Very good, we have a plan, its a good thing I still have ammunition left.' It was at this moment William decided to replace his empty clip still in his boltgun and replace it with a fresh magazine opting to reload the weapon while he still felt he could afford to make just a little noise before going silent. He worried that he might not be as stealthy as certain other members of the group when it came to moving into position before the fight but he drew comfort from the fact that at least he had a decent ranged weapon at his disposal.
Jack nodded his bulbous head to the Eldar's plan, mostly because he didn't have a gun to shoot them with. And considering either he was too attack a powerarmored superhuman or a completely mechanical being that can fix itself with ease, it wasn't looking good for the melee oriented organism. He would have to go for the sorceror, at least he could try to pierce the joints of the armor. As long as he doesn't get hit with warpfire...
Irillyth nodded and ran off, far faster than they had him see move before. His jetpack lifting him off the ground and letting him hover, almost skid, across the floor at high velocity maneuvering through the tunnel almost as if he was a gundam. Shortly after the recognizable sound of his Prism Rifle rang in the air. First one shot, followed by an explosion, then more shots. Bolter fire rang in the air, grenade explosions, a gauss rifle, some random yelling. And the warp channeling further. As the time came to act, the group moved into the combat down the tunnel. As they snuck in from their corner, they found a wall that provided them with stealth and good view on the battle ahead. Irillyth did as he said. He directed the enemy to the opposite wall, leaving him forced in cover with giving occasional shots against those who try to attack him in melee. This left the Chaos Sorcerer at the back, assisted by a Necron Overlord. They were not engaged in combat, letting their goons handle Irillyth. The Sorcerer held a weird blade, it looked Eldar-made and was of equal length to half his own height - some sort of longsword. The Necron held a Warscythe. With their backs turned to Osiris' representatives, they were exposed to a surprise attack - their eyes focused on the progress of eliminating Irillyth. The time for being downright kunning was now. The Chaos sorceror was probably the squishiest of the two, this bit of logic thought up by the fact that the other one was a robot zombie made entirely out of metal. At least the chaos sorcer had the disadvantage of being made out of meaty bits. Which made him the perfect target to being chopped in the neck. The time to act was now, or the stupid Eldar would end up getting himself Zogg'd and make all of this stupid and pointless. Gerald the Ork, with little Warp presence would have been difficult to detect as he began to close the distance between him and chaos sorcer, being reel sneek'ee like as he did so. Once Gerald was close enough he drew out both his Choppah and the Mantis Scythe and leaped at the Chaos sorceror, aiming to bring his chopping implements down on the sorceror's shoulder and neck area, focusing on disabling the arm with the weird looking sword being held in it. It didn't take a tactical genius to determine that whatever it was, it would have been better if it wasn't being used on him or his friends. So to do away with threat, all focus went to plunging his Choppahs into the weakest parts of the armor and disabling the sorceror from using his sword against him.
Gerald seemed to have the same idea that Jack did about which one to take down first. Charging in with bounding leaps towards the Chaos Sorceror with talons poised to strike. His aim was low, he wanted to jab his scything talons into the back of the marine's knees where there was only connection mesh instead of plate. But he hoped he would be quick enough, he was going against a superhuman with fast reflexes as lore of this universe usually states.
With Gerald and Jack engaging the Sorcerer that just left the Necron as the only easy target for a round of ranged fire having not yet been engaged by any other group member, rather than let him get the drop on the Ork and Tyranid William decided to suppress him with a barrage of bolter fire. Part of William wished he had grenades in order to throw at the massed ranks of enemy minions, but sadly he did not and a lone bolter fired rapidly at indiscriminate targets did not strike him as being the most effective way to go about this situation. William remained where he was staying within the advantageous position that the wall offered him in order to offset his rather limited survivability against such opponents, the position offered him a great view of the entire room and he felt he could hit anything from this position. Quantity over quality, that was the mantra for taking down Necrons with Imperial weaponry and one that it would probably be wise to adhere to, just gotta make sure to duck if you happen to draw the Overlord's ire. Also it would probably pay to not go hog wild on the shooting, got to make sure at least some of the bolts hit their mark William thought as he started shooting controlled bursts at the Necron Overlord.
Seeing that the moment was now to strike, Alicia raised her rifle at the Chaos guy as she doubts crystalised toxins would do much more than irritate the Necron Overlord given that she doubted living metal would be that affected by toxins at all, compared with human flesh that was ripe with opportunity. Aiming her rifle at weak points such as the joints of the Sorcerer's armour, Seranos pulled the trigger and let loose her weapon's fury once more, hoping that herself, Jack and Gerald could bring down the Psyker before he noticed what was going on and did something to really screw with the teams chances of getting through this mess with his power over the Warp.
The time to strike was upon them! Robert carefully levelled his rifle and unleashed a punishing volley of pulse fire against the Chaos Sorcerer. It was he who caused all of this! If they could kill him here, then perhaps they could go home, without further need for fighting in this dark and twisted realm.
The Chaos Sorcerer was immediately overwhelmed by the multitude of the attack, the Ork and Tyranid being the high level threats in this case as the Ork got himself stuck in Power Armor and flesh while the Tyranids attack brought the Sorcerer down to a knee. With extreme anger he roared, broke free by punching the ork with the grip of the blade he held and warp-blasted Jack off himself. "YOU FOOLS DA~!" Before he could finish the sentence a salvo of Crystalline shards and pulse fire pumped into his chest, luckily not penetrating his armor. Once the barrage ended he growled and stomped a foot down, his eyes burning with eternal fire. "DUSK HAS COME FOR YOUR LIVES! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED SERVING OSIRIS IN HER PITIFUL CAUSE!" The Sorcerer roared, his crimson red cloak flapping in the air from the channeling warp powers. Obviously angry at the scorching of his armor and wounding him furthermore. The ancient Eldar blade was already crackling with electricity and fire as the Necron appeared to come to life, moving for the first time. The bolter of William being annoying at best as the reinforced living metal denied the shells to penetrate his exoskeleton. Then when he took a step forward, he teleported from where he stood right in front of the group. "Death." He merely whispered with his ice-cold breathless voice. Adorned with golden trims and a chrome-silver the only thing that looked off were his emerald-green eyes, power core and his war-scythe. Trusting his sorcerer-ally to deal with the primitives it was he who would take care of the leadership. Slowly he rose his war-scythe and brought it down upon William heading straight for the Acolyte's head. However, before it connected a bright blue shot from the side came and deflected the Necron's blow into a nearby wall. So far the group was in advantage, but everyone knew that within the next seconds the Sorcerer would unleash whatever spell he prepared and just the power he held... What each of them could feel.... It would be devastating.
