Rico too jumped into the water to follow the Phoenix lord although his was a lot less grasful and more like a rock being throwin into the water as he found that his new form tended to sink with it's heavy crystalline skeleton. To compensate for the lack of buoyancy he flapped his powerful wings to propel himself through the water. Soon enough he too emerged and entered the cave and scrambled ashore but not without some difficulty. As soo as he clawed his way out of the water he decided to shack the water off of his mane in the way most dogs dog and sat down to wait for the rest.
@BuriasDempsey "O'ight Kaptain! Man yur stationz boyz! We'z goin undah!" Gerald answered the little gribblies playful jest with one of his own. He was barely even able to recognize that Jack had asked the question of whether or not Orks float as they were already admist sinking. He was tempted to answer the gaunt's question while they've submerged themselves, but decided not to go testing the theory as to whether or not Orks can breathe underwater at the same time. But considering Ork physiology to be similar to that of a fungus, and everyday mushrooms can float in the water, Gerald did not find it to be to far out there to conclude that the Orkoid species can indeed float as well. But right now, their main concern was whether or not Orks can sink. And sink they did. With gribblie still under hand the journey underwater was a lot more labor intensive on Gerald. It was like trying to swim underwater with a large dog under your arm the entire time. Except the dog weighs more, had enough teeth to scare a shark, sharp pointy talons in place of it's front legs and was generally nothing like a dog at all. But after a few moments of awkward thrashing about and flailing of limbs in an attempt to propel himself underwater, they ended up on the other side as everybody else. "We're goin up! Rise, rise, rise" he blurted out as soon as his head rose above the water, making sure to lift the little gribblie up and not hold him underwater under his arm. Afterall, they weren't going to the test the theory of whether not one could drown a Tyranid at this time.
@GobMaw_HellSmasha When they breached on the other side of the cave tunnel, the superhormagaunts sudden deep intake of breath sounded harsh like wind going through sickly reeds as he tries to now help both of them by doggy paddling to the shore. "WemadeitKaptain! he proclaimed in a series of rapid breathes as the tyranid body desperately tried to balance out the co2 and oxygen levels in the ichor that was his blood for the hybermetablolism needs it had. Next time Jack was going to pick a ravenor or something along those lines, surely they could actually swim with their serpentine bodies. But now there was one thing he was certain, he definitely was hydrated now.
With everyone going with the VIP for the sword, Alicia followed them through the water after taking a short leap into the water, her Eldar physique giving her a little more grace and finesse than the rest of the group. Still, once she emerged on the opposite end of the short cut, she had to splutter out some water that seeped into her lungs in order to take a few deep gasps of air. Swimming was not the most enjoyable thing in the world for her, given her armour's method of being worn. Once out of the water, Seranos groaned: "Could the Tyranid please stop talking for the moment, I think my brain cells are starting to lose the will to live." If only they could just get the darn mission over and done with, because how many more things lied between them, getting the sword and getting the Phoenix Lord back to his fellows? The fake Dark Eldar hoped that it wasn't enough to drag out this escapade for another length of time....
Irylltih made sure everyone was here and then nodded to the group, taking the lead. It was a one-way tunnel without branching, so it was not very difficult to find the right way. "So. Who is our enemy exactly? If you have any information before the fight... That would be helpful. Because I have the feeling that they are not far away. And you know that, too. If you can feel the signature of chaos..." And indeed some of the group could. The Fury (@TuskatheDaemonKilla ) could sense the presence of Tzeentch rather strongly, straight ahead. Robert and Gerald were oblivious to it, being Tau and Ork respectively. Jack only felt a hint of it, but not really. Alicia knew the familiar sensation, not as intense as the presence of She Who Thirsts, but still detectable. And then there was William who felt only a slight shudder going through his spine. It was an uncomfortable feeling of dread as William walked on down the tunnel, a feeling of raw fear that he did not welcome had taken root in his mind and he felt very indignant to suffer it. A cold shiver went down his spine and William had a brief flashback to his various childhood horrors before he shook himself of his doubts. Trying to distract himself from his thoughts William answered Iryllith's question rather comprehensively more to try and put himself at ease than to give anyone else any sense of confidence. 'If you want my advice Eldar you should know that the guy we expect to meet is probably going to be a giant heavily armored super soldier with an affinity with the warp on par with perhaps the strongest Psykers you might have seen. He is going to be as proficient in physical combat as he is to manipulate the warp to his will if he is even as halfway experienced as I expect him to be, plus he is from a stock that I have heard even defeat Necrons from time to time if that is of any comparison to you.' William breathed deeply as he calmed himself, sifting through his knowledge of 40k lore he tried to garner some sort of advantage the group might have against the Sorcerer would they be so unfortunate as to face him. after taking a moment he continued. 'Our advantage is going to have to be speed, he is still very fast but thankfully his armor will restrict him for the most part from being any faster than most of us, Let us just hope that he has not made up for this shortcoming in any way. Another advantage we might have is that most of us are probably going to be nearly undetectable in the warp so he might not even know we are coming, although the same might not be said for you Eldar.'
"Derez a spikey git, and den derez a tinny." Gerald answered their Eldar VIP, "Datz 'bout all I knowz or karez for ya ta know 'bout dem." Gerald felt nothing continuing down the path they were walking down, unaware that Ork physiology was preventing him from feeling any of the effects of the Warp the others might have been feeling. He looked down at his Shootah and shook the thing. He really hoped diving underwater with it wasn't going to cause any problems later when he would inevitably start firing it again. So for the time being he looked over his Shootah and tried to see if he could determine whether there was going to be issues himself before the fighting the started. @BuriasDempsey He pulled out some remaining bits of mantis meat he still had in his pocket. At this point it's gotten all soggy and groady from their travels. It probably wasn't going to do him any good keeping it in his pocket, so he held it out and took a look at it. Before scarfing the morsal down himself he looked over to Jack, realizing the nid was always hungry- hungrier then him at the moment at least- he held the bit of meat out to the Gaunt. "Last chance fer chow time gribblie. Othawize I'z eatin da ress of it meself. Ya wantz it?" he said shaking the bit of soggy mantis meat as he did so.
@Donairian "Don'tforgettheNecronOverlordthat'sworkingwithhim." Jack said trying to be helpful for the most part. He could sense something in the air, like a scent that was just beyond his ability to identify. Not sure if it belonged to the cave or the presence of a Sorceror, he pushed it aside for now. With nothing really witty to use as a comeback to the Dark Eldar, Jack stuck out a long pale red tongue at Alicia in a mocking manner for her earlier comment. @GobMaw_HellSmasha His attention was then grabbed by a soggy piece of morsel held by Gerald. He opened his toothy maw and bite at the mantis meat, not really caring about the condition of it either. "Thankyou!" he said in gratitude to Gerald. He was pretty sure this would be the last moment of piece before they would find the duo they have been warned about earlier.
Rico grabbed his head for a moment as a sense of dread came over him as he could sense the presents of a powerful warp user. "Yeah and this one has a strong affinity to the changer of ways be prepared for powerful sorcery even by your own standards." He said as he shook his head to try to make the feeling go away. This was going to be intresting that was for sure he thought as he continued to walk full well knowing they have one hell of a fight ahead of them.
"If you knew I was here to come to my aid. Would they then not know either way that I was here to come? I would be not surprised if they are the reason of how my fellowship and I got split up." His Prism Rifle charged for a moment. "Either way. Let me go in first. Follow with exactly sixty seconds distance. I will weaken them, let them believe to have the upper hand and then you come in like Faolchu and tear them apart in every single weak spot you can find. I will try to lead them in such way that they will be exposed from your direction." Iryllith proposed, the rifle making an awkward noise and now constantly glowing with a much more intense blue than before. "As you said. They expect and can sense me, you are less likely to be detected and can in fact surprise them. You must hit with the silence of the night, like the hammer of Vaul upon his anvil and with the speed of light. Stealth. Power. Speed. That is the holy trinity of a Shadow Spectre."
