@TuskatheDaemonKilla "Da L'dar doznt know dat. I'z tryin ta covah our trax ere ya 'ere?" Gerald said swinging the daemon around and whispering to him, "to dah L'dar, I'z an Ork, an wut kind of Ork name iz Gerald, hmmm? You wantz da L'dar ta learn da Otha fingz 'bout uz? Da evin mor dangerous ta kno fingz." He started to walk off before turning around and adding in a, "by the way, call me a dumbass again, and I'll make the warp seem like heaven." Gerald cocked his Shootah and he trudged on ahead, "kan we'z get goin now? Standin 'round an muckin 'bout iz givin me an itchy triggah fingah." he grumbled aloud, trying to get a movin on in the group. He wasn't lying about getting ancy about standing around and doing nothing, if head butting poor William wasn't already an obvious sign. The krumpin Eldar was the one pushing buttons and being generally full of himself, almost as if their VIP wanted to get a rise out of him. Well important or not, their Eldar escort was treading thin ice with Gerald at this point, no matter what his greater importance was to the time line. He was sure he can get away with beating the pointy eared annoyance to unconsciousness and still not alter anything important.
Rico rolled his eyes at Gerald's threat and logic about the mater. "Sure whatever just don't go around hitting people that are on your side." Rico said as he flapped his wings and took off to get away from him for a moment. Great I've known this guy for all but a couple of hours and he's already given me a death threat he thought to himself as he found his new weight flying a bit harder.
Having watched the Ork (@GobMaw_HellSmasha ) going nuts and shooting around, he faced him once he walked up with his grin and his words. "Craftworld? I am not of the trader folk, I am an Acolyte of Asurmen, merely wandering in the world for adventures." He tilted his head at the human, and apparent leader of the group (@Donairian ). "Any idea what he was rambling about regards Craftworlds?" Before even getting a reply there was suddenly some sort of internal conflict between the two of them, surely regards what the greenskin told him just now. The Inquisitor-to-be dropped to the floor with a bleeding forehead, but it took more to knock him out. Still a bit dizzy, he at least could stand on his own two feet again. The Phoenix Lord walked up to the Crystalline Fury (@TuskatheDaemonKilla ) and the bleeding man (@Donairian ). "Your group is so strange that a Daemon has more compassion than a Greenskin. May I assume that you are here for more than just me? Since our host here told us about the two figures who took the blade - which I came for - everyone here got a bit more... Tense. Some of you might not be as expressive, but the silence of your pearl of Commorragh (@Maleth ) indicates strongly so. And the friendly fire of your Ork, suggests that as well. You know all there is about me it seems, yet I do not know of your mission. So how about I help you with your enemies, as you helped me with mine?" More was at play here, so much was clear. And with a higher mission at hand than just an adventure, so did the Prism Rifle swinging Lord become a tad nicer, as the group started to prepare for the shortcut trip. Robert merely watched as the fight unfolded. He had kept pace so far, but after speaking during the fight he realized the water had knocked out his suit's comms, and he had only just now gotten them working again. Thank god Tau technology, at least visually, worked similarly to their own. He still kept quiet though, not wanting to step in and get involved in anything, though he thought they were fools for doing it.
It was rather fun to watch Alicia put down the damn golem once and for all, but that nice warm murderous feeling was replaced with frustration as he watch the events unfold between Gerald and the Eldar, along with George and William who received a headbutt from the ork and was on the ground for the moment. Hearing the Eldar had to say, jack only sighed as this mission kept devolving all around them. "Yeasurewhatever, webetterjustgo. WaitcanIswim?" he suddenly asked himself as he started at the pool of water and then his blade appendages. He suddenly wished he was something else right now.
Before William could answer the Ork sent him flying backwards onto the rough rock floor, the carapace armor had taken the worst of the fall but the headbutt itself had managed to cause a leceration of some description, William grimaced as he reached for his forehead while he slowly picked himself up again. Once back on his feet he was still dazed, he hadn't been knocked out or at least he thought so and there was a worrying ringing in his ear, bleary eyed the world looked blurry until he covered his eyes with his hand in order to regain focus. He was muttering under his breath to himself 'Damn that ork hits like a truck... Well I guess it should come to him naturally at least' Looking around he noticed Rico @TuskatheDaemonKilla had helped him up, as a facsimile horror of the warp he was glad at least he had not given in to his nature and he gave the Daemon a nod of thanks. On the other hand though William noticed that the Daemon was looking slightly different somehow like he appeared more sparkly and he was looking slightly strained in order to stay airborne. Ignoring the change in Rico William then noticed that Iryllith had persisted, remembering what had just happened Saxon responded, despite the throbbing pain in his forehead he obliged the Eldar with an answer trying to get together a sentence despite the rush of adrenaline still in his head. 'If you could help us that would be great, who knows it might actually save us a lot of frustration if you could help us out and we do honestly need this sword. With a little luck we might just be able to force him off this world or even better find a way to defeat him for good, either way would be excellent for us. Also what that Ork said about the Craftworlds, its probably best you don't remember that, it is dangerous knowledge and it would be doing you a favor if you don't find out what he meant.' William gestured to the pool where the serpent had been, pointing in its general direction so as to clarify what he meant when he then said. 'There is a shortcut to the sword beneath the water, it might be a little time to hold your breath but our host so to speak said it would be alright.'
@BuriasDempsey "Only one way ta find out dere gribblie" Gerald chuckled as he lifted the Jack Gaunt under his arm, "letz go get ta swimmin den, aye?" He then began to start wading himself into the water, the gaunt in hand. Better to take action then inaction after all. It was sink or swim, and a bit more literally this time around. The fact of the matter was that he was unsure whether Orks were too physically dense to keep themselves afloat. But he wiped away the thought after realizing they were going to travel underwater anyway. Sinking would have been a benefit in that regard. "Well letz get goin den, wut ar ya all muckin 'bout fer?"
Iryllith merely nodded, not touching the ownership of the sword, nor further wanting information on what the Ork meant. There was a dangerous duo on the loose and who knew what they were capable of? The Phoenix Lord simply leaped off, made a somersault and dived into the water. He used his jetpack while underwater as a booster, arriving first in the tunnel after the little underwater cave. The moment he walked out of the water, it simply peeled off his armor and leaving him completely dry. "Come on! Before they get away!" He yelled into the water, waiting for the group. Not being an accomplished swimmer but can still swim nonetheless William dove into the water without as much grace as the Eldar but still managed to find his way to the shortcut underwater. He was nervous of his actual ability to actually do this endeavor but it seemed he was managing just fine as he breached the surface of the water on the opposite end of the shortcut and clambered out onto dry land. Shaking his boltgun dry William was confident that good Imperial equipment at least did not suffer from being wet by any extent.
With Gerald having a good hold around his chitinous body, Jack decided to go with it and hoped he had good lung capacity. "Awwooguah! Divedivedive!" He chittered as he acted like he was a submarine before taking a deep breath as the water rose up to meet him with the ork wading into it. At that time a single thought popped into his overactive mind. 'Wait, canorksfloat?' and then the water was over their heads.
