With the rest of the team point out the flaw in the logic of them being interested in a bounty on the Phoenix Lord's head, even Alicia would admit to being somewhat irked by the stuck up Eldar, but she doubted that the crazy Necron that brought them into this crazy universe would approve of her giving Iryllith a little Commorite hospitality, of the "mental scarring, but not that bad on his physical body" type. Seranos had taken to the rear of the group, and she could appreciate that she and Robert would likely have a few issues with not shooting Gerald in the back given his hulking Ork form was going to make accurate supporting fire a tricky task. However, the scientist couldn't help but chuckle at Gerald's parody of their VIP as at least it was something that lightened the mood... Even if she was still convinced that they were making a huge mistake by going further into the ground, due to the chances of meeting more bugs being too much on the high side for her to not feel a little jumpy and disappointed they were likely heading into the path of most resistance.
"Bounty is not always wanted dead or alive. After all. Why do you think Chaos corrupted mankind instead of simply tearing them apart? They want them alive for their own works, not dead. Dead individuals are useless. I, as disciple of Asuryan, carry much knowledge of what has happened to the Eldar empire, the Fall, and other valuable knowledge. Nobody who would know me would simply want me dead, but instead the knowledge I hold." Iryllith replied straight-forward, finding the strange hoove-man... Strange. "I can only kill one of you at a time, the moment I trigger one shot at you, the rest will have me. A little sacrifice. Furthermore. False sense of security, one of the oldest war tactics that existed thousands of years ago. You believe me to let me lead, to let me be independent. So I do not panic and out of fear mistrust you." He chuckled softly, given how open of a book he was towards them. Yet they were the ones who had secrets. If they were of a pure heart, they might share out of compulsion. "As Orkish you try to be, you are not. You got alienated from your own species. Why else would you care to be not in a big Waagh? And you are far too friendly. I saw you charge to that.... Things... aid." He gestured to the Tyranid which speaks almost too fast even for an Eldar. Almost. "You are no Ork. You are big. Green. Mean. Perhaps even a mushroom. But you are no Ork. As for luck... I do not believe in luck. Fate, destiny perhaps even? Yes." Iryllith only laughed in delight on the insect creature, not even bothering to reply to him. "I am not sure if the Harlequins of Cegorach would appreciate that, so be glad that even I in the eye of terror of our situation can appreciate occasional humor. Outside of combat, at least." Having responded to everyone he looked to the back of the group, giving the Comorrite (@Maleth ) a meaningful, questionable look. Only for a moment, before looking forwards again. "So. What kind of spaceship does a group like this have?" He inquired. William was avoiding the questions but he was getting a little tired of listening to the Eldar run his mouth asking questions that would be dangerous to answer, not making an effort to hide the scowl on his face as he guarded one of the groups flanks he answered the question first. He wasn't going to be truthful he was going to flat out lie, he thought about making a doctor who joke about the Tardis but he was somewhat concerned the Eldar might know the function of blue boxes. 'Oh you know the only thing that would make sense for a group like this, it would be part biological, part high technological and part ramshackle scrap heap with just a hint of Eldar elaboration on the side. I mean it totally would be something that would allow us to get from one side of the galaxy to the other in a heartbeat wouldn't it? If you really want to know maybe you can be quiet about it and see how quickly we disappear once we are done in these caves, that should be answer enough question for our capabilities.' Not liking this conversation one bit William was wary of his surroundings, the third degree was definitely off putting and not knowing his comrades gave him a feeling of uncertainty it did only take one screw up to potentially tell the Phoenix lord everything he needed to know. He had loaded a fresh clip into his boltgun keeping the partially depleted clip in a spare holster for later, it would be a pain to have to remember he had a magazine with less bolts than the others but he felt he could manage it for now.
Jack smiles a little at what the Eldar said. 'At least he had a sense of humor.' he thought to himself. " Ohnohe'slying, itsoneofthoserentadayships. Andwe'vehaditforseveralmonthsnow. Gotsooomanylatefeestotakecareoff." He joked, playing off on what William told the Eldar. After that he walked up closer to Gerald. @GobMaw_HellSmasha "Heydon'tlistentohim, he'sjusttryingtomakeyoufighthimandlookbetterforit, BeKunning." he said, elbowing him like a tiny twig would nudge a huge oak tree.
"Ooohhhh...I'z kan show you'z jus 'ow much of an Ork I'z kan be." He said starting to reach for his Choppah and the mantis scythe he pocketed prior, his face contorting into a grimace, "panzee git" His Ork side was having just about enough hearing the Eldar run his mouth. Pushing buttons and asking things he shouldn't be asking for. The Eldar was certainly as infuriating as he thought he was going to be. Their V.I.P. needed a swift kick in his A.S.S. Just one motion, one nice chopping motion. Followed up by plenty of other chops for the hell of it. The Eldar was asking for it. He really was at this time. It'd be so easy too. Too easy. The Eldar was practically surrounded, he didn't stand a Gork damned chance. @BuriasDempsey He looked over to Jack. With a grimace still on his face. He heard what the gribblie said. Be kunning. The thought brought a slight chuckle out of Gerald. He released his grip on both his Choppah and Mantis limb, letting them stay where he pocketed them. He patted the gaunt on the head as he continued forward. A certain thought was able to coax a smile out of him. He was going to be kunning about this. He was going to have the last laugh. Why fight him on his terms now. When you can shoot the git when he least expects it.
Tyler chuckled at the antics of Jack and Gerald, antagonizing their guest, Gerald almost coming to the point of assaulting Iryllith. Thankfully Jack seemed to be keeping him distracted. He particularly enjoyed the joke about the rent a ship. He missed this Jack, joking around, lively. Maybe in some strange way this experience would do them some good. @Uriel1339 "Yeah, we're the good Samaritans of the galaxy, flying around in our rent-a-ship doing good deeds. Saving innocent lives, protecting worlds, holding bake sales. It's great." Tyler teased a bit himself, wanting to see how an Eldar would react to this absurdity.
Rico simply shrugged and moved forward ahead of the group not wanting to talk to the eldar anymore. It seemed even when he was being cautious the man consistently proved the stereotype that all eldar constantly act pompous and a over everyone else. He hoped this mission of theirs would finish quickly before someone in the group had enough and simply attack him. Hell he might do it himself if he refers to him as an it agian.
"The more you speak, the more insane you sound. I hope you are aware of that. But as saviours of me... I fear I am in debt. And though we are just here having a nice, gentle conversation. All I fear is anger from your sides. So before the Ork attempts to ram his wannabe blade into my neck and I have to shoot him in the head, how about somebody actually tells me of why you hate me? Is there something I said you don't like? Is it that you are just a bunch of miserable individuals, or is it because you have not the slightest clue of what is even going on here?" Iryllith kept walking as he talked, so did the entire group. On the march through the tunnel for rough 8 minutes now, a cavern with light came into sight. Just enough time to answer the Phoenix Lords question before they would enter the new room. Glad I get the 'arrogant Eldar' thing right.
The gaunt that was Jack had finished the last of his makeshift kabob before turning around and looked at the eldar in the eyes. All joking mirth was gone and replace with deadly seriousness. "Okay, youknowwhat? I'mmagonnalevelwithyou, realtruth, scaryladydidn'tsaywehavetolietoyouonlymakesurethingshappenthewaytheywshould. We'renotofthistime, oreventhisreality. It would probably have been comedic a gaunt to argue with what was supposed to be a member of the smartest race in 40k, if it wasn't really happening right now to him and his friends which were in actual danger.
"Ok in all honesty did anyone understand a word he just said?" Rico said after hearing the high pitched and very fast explanation from Jack the gaunt. He was baffled by the shear pace that the little guy could keep when it came to talking that his jaw nearly dropped but still he saw a light at the end of the tunnel so he assumed they were getting close to the surface.
