Factions will be solo-focused, so if you wanna go 2 factions you gotta choose one over the other Kaurava has no canon ending, only Kronus has. GW decided that Soulstorm was so fked up they were like "SCRATCH IT ALL!" lol. As far as I know, anyhow. 2nd War of Armageddon I have no clue. 3rd I only know that the key-point was the fact that Thrakka ran away from oh god who the hell was the guy who wanted him? Behemoth and Macragge - as Ultramarine fan - sounds extremely enticing. The Beast, I have little knowledge on as you know, but I think I can work something out, I am sure. 'Betrayal at Calth' I am not sure. Also I have no idea of Ciaphas Cain, lol. Battle of Duriel?! Oh one of my favorites - even though I only know the story from Lexicanum! Also I leave colors, emblems and stuff up to you guys - lol.
Yarrick is the one chasing after Thrakka Also I thought the Imperial Guard ending to Kaurava was considered canon and basically considered to be a footnote response due to lol soulstorm lol. Kaurava basically summarized to "Guardsmen won, also Boreal died due to how stupid he is" I know for certain though that the companies of Blood Ravens and Indrick Boreal died there. Because Borealium would have been stupid even by 40k standards. Also it's a pivotal plot point in the DoW2 campaign. However it was the campaign with the space marines and not the Freebooters under Kaptin Bluddflag, so as to how cannon that blood Ravens campaign is up to interpretation. I'm totally fine going with the completely correct opinion that Warboss Gorgutz 'Ead'Unter took Kaurava by storm however.
Well, looks like I'm the nid player Don't know what color I am though. (leaving green alone for obvious reason.) I guess we should start with how we all know each other in the first place, like working in the same place or living in the same apartment complex?
Calling green ranger I don't even care that I might be dabbling into nids from time to time Green is best
Well, I guess I'll join up, after all someone has to wave the banner of the Dark Eldar around here (Speaking of them: Would the 2016 character suffer from the Thirst while being a Dark Eldar or not?) Some events/places in the timeline I'd like to see: War In The Heavens: Olds Ones Versus the Necrons Fall of the Eldar Dark Age of Technology Age of Apostasy: Taking down Goge Vandire And obviously, Great Crusade/Horus Heresy.
Imperial guard characters are going to be hard mode for this type of RP, if I consider going as a regular trooper I am probably going to have start off as a slightly better equipped guardsman with only slightly better options being unlocked as the RP progresses, not really good for my life expectancy considering what I have to keep up with. I may have to consider going more for an Inquisitorial Stormtrooper type than anything more conventional in the Astra Militarum, at least acolytes get all the best toys relatively and far better armor at that.
You could become increasingly adept at Combined arms tactics and military maneuvers, not to mention personal bravery and sacrifice in the face of overwhelming odds
That would come down to how good I would be as a writer whenever I do actually post, also complex military tactics and maneuvers are nigh impossible to pull off in any sort of RP owing to the necessity of complex posts and the full understanding of everyone else in the group. It would certainly draw out darn nearly every engagement we take part in just because of my characters need for discipline. Its better I think that as such a character that I take advantage of any other character in order to achieve what I need, I have seen this in earlier Imperial guard RPs where I had my character take cover behind another RPers Bullgryn, that makes sense and it works a lot of the time. Also Acolytes in comparison to regular Imperial guard are afforded considerably more room for growth and advancement. Where one in a hundred guardsmen are lucky to make Sergeant and perhaps only be given a special weapon for their trouble an acolyte has the potential to become a full inquisitor and be given the best stuff available to the Imperium perhaps even surpassing the Space marines or even the Mechanicus. Even before that acolytes are not exactly cannon fodder and are very well equipped and trained.
