Elite Force - Time Patrol Summary: The player characters are people who got dragged from an alternate earth in the year 2016 (so from our IRL) into the 41st millenium. Player characters will receive a 'Soul Incubator' which enables the player to not just imitate but actually become members of other factions. So your puny 2016 self does turn into an Astartes, Eldar, Necron, Tyranid, etc. - armor, weapon, skills, and everything else. The Soul Incubator can be leveled up in between levels on your own unique path to allow new talents and transformations as well as better equipment (so when you transform into an Astartes you get not just a chainsword, but perhaps after an upgrade now with power blade) Think of it a bit like Power Rangers (actually imagine exactly like Power Rangers, or for you who know it - Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog) So who gives that Soul Incubator away? That would be Time Travelling Necron Lady 'Osiris' who keeps an eye on the past, present and future and that everything turns out as it's supposed to without anyone's intervention. You will work 'for' her. Players will always be identified as a 'foreign' force by all and everyone (so no disguising as Ultramarine, Ulthwean, Bad Moon, etc.), which means you can use own custom designs for your Astartes, Eldar, colors, etc. However I would like if whatever you choose takes over across the forms you take. So i.e. that your color is dark blue, with white trims and your emblem is let's say an Ox. So whether you go Astartes, Ork, Aspect Warrior, Imperial Guard, Necron, etc. you will always be dark blue with an ox icon and white trims. Of course you don't need to do that, I just think it would give your character a more personal touch, you know like power rangers are identified by their colors ^^ Different factions can be deployed at once. So one player can be a Necron, another can be an Astartes, another can be an Eldar, another can be a Tau, and so on. That is the core of Elite Force, after all. What's the agenda? To stop rival Necron Lord 'Al'kareem' who teamed up with Chaos Sorcerer 'Kronos' who try to change major events in the past to change the future for their own personal goals. I.e. they may try to help Horus to win the Battle of Terra. They may try to kill Uriel Ventris during the Siege of Ultramar so that Marneus Calgar dies against M'kar. They may try to save the Fire Hawks so they never become the Legion of the Damned. They may even help the Tau so they can occupy the Ultramarines and successors further so they have to withdraw from Armageddon and other battlefields. They may stop the Necrons coming to the aid of the Blood Angels, so that they die against the Necrons, etc. etc. etc. Q: How far can you go with this? Like if I become a Tau, can I get a crisis suit? Or am I just a Fire Warrior. A: You can go as far as Riptide, technically. I will say right off the bat that most likely I will keep it on a per-case base. For example I have no problem someone turning into a dreadnought, but if we are in a dungeon-like complex, well.... That just won't work out, so instead you are just a kickass terminator? Q: So wait we can change forms? A: Yes. Just like the power rangers have different tiers, as well. Most likely I keep it more archetype focused than faction, however there might be faction-specific upgrades if you want to specialize in that. I.E. if you go more 'Ranged' type you can specialize more in sniper type (Imperial Guard / Ratling Sniper, Pathfinder with Railgun, Astartes Scout w/ Sniper or Devastator with Las Cannon, Necron Deathmark, etc.) or more in Heavy Weapons (Ogryn with an Autocannon, Devastator with Heavy Bolter / Missile Launcher, XV-88, etc.) Oooor instead you may just keep putting talents and stuff into Tau. Gives you less choices in other factions, but more availability in Tau. So you can easier rise up the ranks and get more special equipment. Perhaps you may get experimental suits and add-ons or even run around as Ethereal. Whereas general archetype upgrades only give you the basic stuff but not the super-special stuff. Best example: If you keep going for Melee archetypes you may choose to be an Assault Marine, but you may never become a Terminator, Deathwatch Marine (fancy items) or get fancy artifacts like an Iron Halo - unless you invest upgrades into the Space Marines. This way I can give who wants more broad, but general upgrades or let you go a very specific route. Most likely I force you lot to decide on one form per mission though, so that not everyone just jumps back and forth Ben 10 style, lol. So if you choose to be a dreadnought, you are gonna stay a dreadnought until the mission is over. Interest Ping: @TuskatheDaemonKilla | @MetalDog4 | @Donairian | @BuriasDempsey Character Sheet templates come soon, in the meanwhile let me know what you would like to see, what you would like to play, etc. Since there are sooooo many events in the Wh40k universe let me know what you guys want to live through. Just keep in mind I can only read up so much on lexicanum, etc. If you can explain to me what happened in a certain event I gladly make a 'f$!ked up' version of that, and you gotta see how to fix it, aka: Make the events happen as close as they did in reality. Also as personal suggestion: Your guys should know each other in 'IRL', just so you can easier trust each other, and all that! (You know just like the power rangers all were buddies in the same school)
So, as far as let's say Orks and the Nids go Both have an abundance in cannon fodder units, but they also have their big hulking badasses to them ex: Warbosses and Hive Tyrants Exactly how far can we go on that scale? What exactly are we limited too
Daw ya beat me to it. Anyways here's my version of that question. Now would It be possible to be a daemon aka Bloodletter and work my way to being a Harold and then to bloodthirster and then daemon prince? I assume that kind of progression would take a while but I would like t know if it is possible and I also assume we aren't tied to any faction and can change from faction to faction on each mission though I guess it would be more favorable to have a one that you prefer so you can advance further and more quickly.
On the start I would let you go as far as a small nob, or well a big boy, I guess? lol. After the first mission I would already let you run around as a nob, mega nobs would be probably in after 3-4 missions or so. I don't want to make progression as slow as Deathwatch Station RP is. While I definitely will let daemons allow, you won't be able to play them from the start. I would grant them probably after the 1st mission. You would start as a lesser, like you identified - Bloodletter, Plaguebearer, Daemonette that kinda stuff. And then probably after 3rd mission or so the bigger stuff. I would instead of giving you new classes instead make your daemon forms stronger. So for example as a Bloodletter you would get a bigger blade, or that it burns, or that you can in fact 'sacrifice' your victims to create smaller bloodletters to aid, or something like that. Daemons would be more like Psykers where you get more tricks up your sleeve than a rapid size progression. Harolds / Greater Daemons really would be kind of end-game-ish after 5th mission or so. And Daemon Prince style probably another 2-3 missions after that. Because let's face it, you would be Primarch power level lol. Addendum: As prior described, you can either decide to level up 'in general' or in a specific faction, whichever you prefer (more classes amongst more factions, or more specialist choices in specific factions). Running around as an Astartes or a Daemon to 'aid' the Space Marines won't make a difference, they will see you as a potential enemy/friend either way. Since you will be significantly different in appearance and behavior.
Alright thank you because I'm thinking of treating this a bit like the last one with my character and that character would prefer daemons to most of the other factions.
Well, as you can probably guess from my pic I really like the Tyranids. (chaos space marines and Imperial guard come in a close second) Would focusing around 2 factions be ok? I like to see the battle of ultramar against hivefleet Behemoth with the swarmlord fighting Calgar, or see Kryptmann's plan on using genestealers to send hivefleet leviathan towards the octavious system. Or even see the fall of craftworld Malan'tai by hivefleet Naga and see the Doom of Malan'tai absorb all the craftworld souls. I might have gotten carried away here.
Also as far as scenarios go and what I'd like to see: -Hive Fleet Behemoth and the Battle for Macragge -Second and/or Third war for Armageddon -The Beast's invasion of Terra -Kaurava Campaign (hur hur) -Anything involving keeping the Ciphas Cain lie alive -Betrayal at Calth
