Ithera thought perhaps, the footsteps would lead her to the artifact. So she followed the sounds quietly, never drawing too close.
(i might join this in the future as a 'nid or eldar. but i dont think you need any more 'nids, you might have a little swarm going on!)
Hearing the words the eldar said, "what about we clear this first, we dont heal like you eldar, even with midical treatment we would still need to leave him behind with Alexei to help him survive."
Alexei looked over to Aleus, still bearing his grin as he said in a quiet, almost monotonous voice, "At least we survived, eh? He let out a hoarse chuckle, and dared not to look down at his burned legs. He decided to just draw his Laspistol, saying, "Well come on... We should be doing something useful, I don't want to be a detriment to this 'team,' and I don't think you want to either."
The gaunt looked at the injured man and wondered if the device would still stop it from eating his corpse should the recruit die. The other option of course would be to try and save him, however the gaunt had no healing abilities so instead the creature knelt by the injured guardsmen. It was quite big now so it could probably carry the human's weight, slowly but not as slow as a crippled biped.
OOC: Whats wrong about a little swarm? Also shoot me a PM with char and I might integrate you whenever I please As she walked into the heart of the Palace it became quite obvious where the artifact may be held, in the very end of the huge hall was something that looked like a vault, four Sororitas walked inside and then locked the huge door behind themselves. The room itself was filled with at least twenty Sororitas, kneeling infront of their leader, praying out loud to their Emperor. The Conscript spotted a Dark Eldar and another Guardsman as he walked down the hallway, coming to an intersection. They were straight ahead. The Dark Eldar and the Guardsman would spot Verticus if they would turn to the left, having reached an intersection. Though straight ahead was a stairway that would lead up. Explosions form nearby, but outside occurred, perhaps ballistic Missiles against the walls of the palace.
The Tau advance was enormous, a Sky Ray fired an entire salvo of Seeker missiles into the Palace, but failing to create a hole in the defense. Their hammerhead was destroyed so they had no other means but advance with Infantry. A hundred Fire Warriors and twenty Kroot stormed forward, attempting to climb up the stairs of the Imperial Palace, but being slowed down as a squad of Battle-Sisters and two Retributors with Heavy Bolters took position and hammered down upon the Tau. One of the heavy weapon sisters fell as a Pathfinder shot with his Railrifle right into her head. The other was silenced after killing ten Firewarriors by a Kroot Sniper Round. The other sisters kept their barrages with Bolters up, knowing they are going to die but at least slowing down the advance. The trio could spot a side-entrance of the Imperial Palace, apparently unguarded.
Ithera hid behind a wall and waited to see what the Sororitas would do next. There was no way she was getting past 20 Sisters with just the Gretchin's aid.
