Alexei nodded to Verticus and stated, "Indeed, Alexei Voskov, Vostroyan Firstborn." He glanced to his left and right, and drew his hand down to his Las-pistol, drawing it along with his odd Sword/Knife mix of a weapon, and gripped both handles tightly, saying, "Regardless, shouldn't we be getting on the move?"
"We are here to retrieve an item from a vault within the Palace while the war here commences. We're after a tiny black box, it contains a relic. Find it and put it within a container of some sort, anything, even a shoe, and we will be transported to safety. The Ork and I are too large and sluggish for the stealth this mission requires and are acting as look outs while our lither, or smaller, allies infiltrate the area. There is another Imperial about with us, look for the Tyranid and you'll know it is him. The Tyranid is rather nice, do not fear. "
"A nice Tyranid? heh, what's next, a smart Ork?" He chuckled into his mask, trying to lighten up the mood somewhat with some humor.
The thought of working with a tyranid sent a shiver down his spine, but even the necron's speech was chilling. He then looked at the Cadian, "There are no such thing as smart orks."
Turned to the Necron, and slowly nodded in understanding, staying silent as he... It... Spoke to him. "Understood, I think we should head after the Eldar and Gretchin, except for you, Necron... As you said, you are on lookout, and this might be the best way for us to go, and a friendly Tyranid... Hrm... Strange, very strange, I will keep my judgement for when I encounter it." He said, to both the Guardsman, and the Necron. He turned his gaze to Verticus, and chuckled saying, "Hah! you never know, after all, we're talking with a Necron..."
The Necron stares, the inability to actually emote could come across as a comedic deadpan ironically enough. "We were told to manipulate the defenses and power of this place to shift the fights in our favor, to allow us to perform this without blood shed. We all serve a greater being here it seems, the lives of everyone else on this planet are irrelevant. "
"Let's hope not" He said to the Death Korp and Vostroyan. "Anyways, what's the plan as of now? I was yet to be filled in."
Looked to Verticus and said, "Obtain a certain relic through stealth, that is essentially what we are doing, the Necron explains better, but this is what we are to do."
He looked at the guardsmen, "And we are all conscripts. None is a higher rank." He said through the mask. "Let's follow after the eldar and ork, we have to get to the palace somehow."
