Alright! I will be more specific. During the warlocks running animation, the way they move their arms and hold their weapons is very strange. They weightlessly move their weapons around as if they aren't even there. Same is true with the other eldar, the way they hold their weapon up to the side while running, it seems to work with pistols, but with rifles it looks a bit strange.

Now for all the others. I am having a hard time finding any eldar related concept art that looks anything like the current models. In game our armor looks, sorry to say, really cheap. It's just a skin tight body suit with armor plates slapped on top of it. http://pro.bols.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Eternal-Crusade-61-eldar1.jpg This looks no where near as high quality as the Ork, Space marine or chaos models. https://forum.eternalcrusade.com/styles/eternalcrusade/xenforo/DarkAngel_vs_Eldar03.jpg http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net...b_eldar.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140425045020 The concept art makes their armor seem more full body and stuck to their bodies, instead of hanging off the model as extras.

Again, our armor compared to the other factions have had a lot less work put into them. Makes me sad.

First thing - I want to say that I really appreciate seeing developer response on the forums. Whether or not criticism will lead to anything is one thing, but it's good to know that it's being seen, at least.

I agree with the weightlessness of their weapons during running animations. It's especially weird on Dire Avengers. It almost seems unintentional, as the sprinting melee attack is a sort of two-handed rifle butt even though that isn't how the weapon was being held during the run.

I have to disagree with things being "too shiny". Eldar gear is supposed to look like latex and plastic. It's one of the things that really pleased me to see done right. However, I agree with certain things looking "cheap" in a lot of ways.
    • The Fire Dragon's bodysuit is particularly noticeable; the texture looks like a cheap print, especially when compared to the very nice texture of the Striking Scorpion's. It might work with a little bump mapping/gloss or something to make it look more like waxed leather, which would be better for the "reptile scale" look they're going for.
    • While the Striking Scorpion's undersuit is good (as are the belly plates), the yellow stripes look kind of awful. Also the helmet's texture doesn't quite mesh with the rest of the Eldar models, especially with how severely worn it is. It reminds me of looking at assets in a model viewer.
    • Several of the armour plates don't conform to the body. There are noticeable overhanging sections, which is super weird.
    • This is more just a design criticism than an actual issue, but the plates are too small or spread apart in many places. There just shouldn't be so much of the bodysuit exposed, especially on the front of the thigh and the side of the arms.
    • Their elbows/forearms are really, really bizarre. They're sort of bulbous and Popeye-esque. Very noticeable on the female Striking Scorpion.

While I am very happy for their inclusion, I have issues with the female Eldar model specifically.
    • In all seriousness, their butts are just... weird. I'm fairly certain they got changed around the time Swooping Hawks were added, because I only noticed it while testing the Hawk out for the first time and I was rather active around and before then. They're oddly flat and have a weird seam down the middle. I can only imagine that the devs were afraid of making them too "nice" and so tried to tone it down. Let's not forget that this is an official Games Workshop miniature (and a male one at that). Eldar, especially Aspect Warriors, are muscular and athletic. It's a fact of physiology that fitness makes for a round, firm butt. Combine that with the canonical skintight bodysuits and it's just something that has to be shown. Especially when compared to the male models, who have kept theirs as tight as ever!
    • Speaking of Eldar athleticism and comparisons to the male Eldar, it's bothersome that the female models are much slimmer and have less muscle tone. They're Eldar! The male models are already so slim that it makes the female models look silly (not that making the female models slimmer is okay, regardless, because they shouldn't be). I'm not going to bother making a gif, so I invite you to open these two images in their own tabs and click between them to get an idea of just how much slimmer they are. Eldar female.jpg Eldar male.jpg
    • The female Dire Avenger has the Banshee-style belly plates rather than the "ab armour" that the male gets. Ab armour looks cooler. (On that note, thank you very much for removing the ridiculous belly button from Banshee armour; it's something I've always hated)
    • The "belt" of armour around their waist is noticeably thong-esque in comparison to the male's, especially from behind. I'm not saying this was intentional, but it is a very unfortunate design choice. It's thinner and rides up higher (more of a V or Y) than the male equivalent. It's mostly noticeable on Banshees.
    • The cuirass worn by the female Eldar has weird concave sections on either side that make it thinner. I think this is due to the female models being slimmed down but still using the same backpack, but it's really weird looking.
    • The breasts could be done better. They're okay, but I'd prefer if they looked like an integrated part of the chestplate and not just sort of tacked on. It's still meant to be armour, after all. I know the one GW female Guardian isn't the best, but it's also very old and in their dumpy "heroic scale" (which was far worse back then).

Sorry for the rather long list.

Are you going to ever give us decent visual customisation that not's just a shitty recolour for a bajillion dollars? Like DoW Eldar Farseer look for female Warlocks etc.

@NoahWard What do you think about damage numbers? I'd really love to be able to see how effective my weapons are on the field.

Last livestream the devs had them appear over their target's head. It's not hard for them to implement it into the game, but I'd suspect they either have bigger fish to fry atm, or it unnecessarily taxes performance they're still trying to optimize in order to expand the scale of the game.

There are flying damage numbers in the garrison with enemies of different toughness to allow for testing. It's an artistic and design decision to not have flying numbers during normal matches.

What faction is your fave to play and appearance of?
Not saying you have a favorite, but that termy avatar makes me wonder :)

But can't we at least get the option to? I mean is there anything wrong with toggles? And it's hard to tell when you're hitting someone with a melta, since the beam takes up the cross hair
