Right, so I started again from scratch, going for that Maugan Ra look. I think, this came out a lot better than the military pick. Hope you guys like it. Biel-Tan Ceremonial Scythe:
Yeah this one is better than the other one. The other seemed so, savage? I'd still use it though. Made me think if a Banshee was a Dark Reaper before maybe they'd go for that scythe over a spear. But that's going into something different entirely. Anyway, I like the shapes of the blades and only thing I can say is that floral pattern looks out of place on a weapon. Since I've seen a similar pattern on a pillow and shower curtains. Something like this would fit more, (not mine; found in a blog here) Though the pattern you used could go for a different ceremony. Not sure I want to be around a ceremony that involves a scythe though. Then again it could just be my playing Bloodborne saying that lol.
You make a good point. I just hastily used the floral pattern I had in my collection. My bad. Thorns, indeed, would fit a lot better. Here you go
This time, I decided to try and design a ranged weapon from scratch. Still learning, still learning... but, I think it came out alright. Ulthwe Firepike:
Time to practice a bit of forum necromancy and resurrect this thread Since we all had a sneak peak into the Eldar in EC, here's a concept art of mine for Dire Avenger Exarch's helmet. Any comments would be more than welcome
Looks quite good I do say, it is an Exarch so maybe the "fancyness" will show more in the colour scheme?
Honestly, as a someone who will probably play Dire Avengers hevaily, I don't want a huge helmet plume (it's okay though if theplume hair is a bit longer at the back). What I prefer are lots of details in both armour and helmet (and preferably weapon as well). Reposting the Codex Eldar 2nd edition cover: The stomach armour, vambraces and sword are of the level I am hoping for. The plume IMO is reaching up to far over the head.
