  2. What a beautiful and Eldarlike thing to say :).

Also the female says "Crusaders are you with me!", but aren't the marines the only ones crusading? Doesn't sound very Eldar to me. The way i see it, the marines are crusading, orks are WAAAGHing and eldar are surviving/winning. I would replace crusaders in the Eldar lines with children of Isha or something similar.

I thought all Eldar voices sounded to shouty and metallic, almost painful to hear, defenitly not what i expect of a race that considers everything they do an art they mastered.

It's a Teaser Shout out. Chaos did it, Space Crogi did it, Orks did it and so did Eldar

  4. Why thank you. :)

That line is aimed at us, the player. It's an extra line they got the actor to say for the stream. There were some Chaos and Marine ones in the Twitch reveal for the voice acting for those two factions, a few streams back (I have no idea how many) I think I mentioned it elsewhere in this thread but my favorite one was the Space Wolves which was along the lines of "Prepare beer and meat!"

The Eldar ones won't be in game thankfully but sadly neither will the Space Wolves one.

I found them irritatingly atonal and, as has been usefully said, ugly.

I admit: the DoW 1 VA probably ruined most other versions for me. I liked the mix of tranquility, intensity, and fury most units would impart. Also that the barks were generally (with exceptions like the Bonesinger being glaring grating) short. As a noteworthy fan effort the Swooping Hawks from the Ultimate Apocalypse mod are spectacularly well tuned for otherwise being the Fire Dragons dialogue altered to sound feminine.

Iz culdn't tell which waz da male n which waz da female! Dey juzt sounded loike panzeez ta Digganob!

(The female voices sounded a little slow to me, I think if it was sped up a bit I would have liked it more, though I'm not sure.)

As soon as I heard the voices for the female Eldar I immediately thought it sounded way too much like some form of Matriarch. Just generally too deep for my personal taste, but again, I am so much more used to the Banshee, Harlequin and Farseer voices in DoW 1+ Expansions. I didn't like how they went with the deeper tone for the second game, as I had spend hours upon hours listening to the first game's lines (I pretty much spammed Banshees on the campaign AI). Hopefully they can see about making some minor adjustments to the files. Aside from how deep it is, I don't mind the distortion effect that much, though it is laid on a little thick from the teaser files, and yeah, the female voices there seem a bit too slow/sluggish, though I don't know if that can be fixed without doing re-recordings. Really excited to pick up some Mirrorswords and shred me some Mon-Keigh! (Still haven't played the game yet, so I might not be as in-the-know as some.)
  10. I really don't like the metallic echo that they have going on.

Thousand year old elf wearing wraithbone helmet is not what i think when i hear that voice. Sounds more like a crone in a dungeon.
