YEAP was up high on a walkway with my Fire Dragon trying to flank a predator, had this new DA with me.. so what does he decide to do? shoot the tank? what happened? we died horribly... just.. srsly? srsly dude? What game lets rifles blow up tanks? what game??
It really should be obvious to everyone that the Devs DRASTICALLY lowered the LSM win req this time around. Take one look at the territory map and tell me how good Marines are doing. Which is exactly opposite of being #1 in campaign success. The last campaign and trying to get my 10 wins with LSM on the last 3 days, I felt like performing brain surgery on myself to remove that experience from memory. (I pugged it, and no I did not get my 10) This time around, I started on first day and hashed it out over the day. This is when most LSM guilds play and your chance of winning is the greatest, but then they all abandon LSM to do other characters and it becomes a nightmare. Even then though, the pugs were playing better than usual, they still have the worst win rate of all factions though. Actually doing my Chaos guy I would love when fighting Marines because it usually meant an easy win. What I think is crap this time around for Eldar though, is the # of games won to complete the campaign based on population is ridiculously high, and I would even be willing to bet the Devs set it that high on purpose with the expectation Eldar won't make it. MYST and WP are playing hardcore to try to achieve it, but even with all that go power I don't think it is going to happen. The wall is up against us like it has always been, but we won't give up and Slannesh can burn, cause her number will soon be up.
When i was playing old school Command and Conquer renegade, i've spent 15 minutes shooting a tank with my pistol, only save ammo on my other weapons. After 15 minutes the tank was destroyed...and i died with an incoming shell. BUT did get to pistol down the tank. Maybe he didn't knew, or he was honorable not to shoot an unaware tank. He saw your rank, and wanted to give you more of a challenge. No harm intended
No, it's not even the same thing. Sure, same end result but the path taken are very different. LSM are still sucking, though notably they are playing better, as I've definitely noticed, but still far from the average play of the other 3 factions. Again, take one look at the world map and tell me how Marines are #1 in the campaign. It is obvious they have been given a pass. And I'm ok with that, as I need some RTC on them. Eldar from what I can tell have had the bar for success put very high, even to a point I suspect Devs want them to fail intentionally, probably to appease the LSM crowd. As per Eldar population, they are winning games, it's just the bar has been set so high that it feels unfair to put it there. So LSM was due to low skill just not winning games, which is a player driven issue, but Eldar is Dev set goal which is far to high. This I admit is just speculation on my part.
