The games I were in would say otherwise. I ain't one for singing LSM's praises but credit where credit is due and it is certainly due the past week IMO.
well last campaign the wins required was set to 1000 IIRC .... last campaign the bars filled up at a creep for all factions (LSM obviously not enough) but it didnt look like anyone was going to reach the goal even at day5 ... it was the second weekend during the campaign where people crossed the line, but this campaign when I stopped playing my LSM on monday their bar was already at 2/3rds and the eldar/CSM bar was still well under 1/2
That's specifically because their campaign goal was lowered to laughable level only. If you seriously believe a faction which was failing hard skill-wise suddenly became top dog from week to week after long sale, then there is no redemption for you, only penance. Let me remind you people yet again-LSM were winning campaign hard over the last weekend despite literally being pushed off the map by all 3 factions - if that doesn't tell you they have ground floor level requirements now, then I don't know what will.
I'm just saying what I have experienced over the last week in game. LSM have been playing A LOT better IMO. No conspiracy theories, just what I have seen with my own eyes. If you truly believe devs have gimped other factions to let LSM win this time round, I suggest you take it up with them (I'd love to see what they say about that lol). I'm not calling you a liar or a conspiracy nut but yes, from what I have seen myself in the games I have played against them, I'd of put it down to them upping their game considerably of late. I have also seen Eldar play considerably worse than I ever have this campaign so its not all that strange for a faction to go from shite to top dog quickly and visa versa. Just look at Forj's weekly threads.
I could, but you might get uncomfortable since my sources include inspecting the entrails of sacrificial virgins and the the subtle itch of a few butt pimples. Jokes aside, I can't wait until we get to see the post campaign numbers. I'm even kinda hoping we something like Eldar winning more matches than LSM, but not winning the campaign. IF what it feels like for Eldar trying to reach the goal right now aligns with reality, then it'll be a point to use in convincing bE to chill the eff out when it comes to stacking a deck in favor of LSM. But it could just be a matter of more Eldar being demoralized and simply not bothering as the Salt God extends his control further. Until then we really have only half cocked ideas, widely inaccurate population data, and sentimentalism replacing hard facts as evidence. I'm disappointed. You missed the perfect opportunity for a nick cage going cosmic gif here. QQ Totally. I've noticed a dramatic increase in the performance of LSM PuGs, on average. Just simple things like being where they should, interrupting instead of executing, and capping important points, etc. Those are the simple things that also translate to wins quicker than anything else. And most of us are completely stoked about this. Yall might like to think we just want the LSM to implode based on the vocal minority of biased Eldar fanbois, but really most of us hope to get more teams able to give us better competition across all factions and a healthy vibrant game to enjoy for many years to come.
I'm thinking like you. I main LSM, and since one or two week, I have the impression that they are became better. for an example : In the maggon station, with full team in both side, we had lot of rank 1 and maybe 3 or 4 rank 4, 5 and 6. we have gived the order, they had to listen and follow them, and we win with not great difficulty
We (any of the players of any faction) don't have any kind of accurate data to say that the objective numbers for the campaign have changed but the assertion from the Devs that they tweaked it after the first campaign. -> In other words, nothing. I'm looking forward to see the post campaign results, just to get an idea. About LSM PuGs, I'm amazed about their general performance I must say. They generally act in teams and if someone steps up taking command, they have a good chance of following his/her orders by the letter, even if they think it's stupid. Latest Eldar PuGs on the other hand... feel more disorganised than before. There are still many that can follow orders, but if one doesn't take command in the earliest stages of the game, they will follow their instincts (which aren't always good and rarely brings them to tank hunt). EDIT: about data tho, I want to bring up territory control chart by Forj, which startles me. From the last week, starting Feb 10, Eldar Territory has done nothing but increase. Odd.
In Eldar matches LSM have been playing better. They are learning how to use their tools effectively and discovering the true strength of their faction.
well all the new players we had are leveling and better understanding the game,so its normal that they perform better than before,in my guild for example we had like 10+ new guys with the humble bundle and we were losing badly even beign 12 ppl from the same guild against pugs, now they are catching up gearing up and learning from veterans and we win more games.
After some matches yesterday on Eldar side: I have a feeling that there's still a wave of newcomers currently hitting Eldar. Had some matches where we simply worked well, even against small LSM guild groups and then there were pug-on-pugs where Eldar did almost everything by the "How you don't play EC" Handbook they nicked from the LSM pugs of yesterday (good for LSM folks to finally leave that behind but please Eldar, don't start reading the filthy smut the enemy left behind on the battlefield). When you see Dire Avengers unloading two clips into a Rhino and tons of Dark Reapers, you draw your conclusions
