Eldar Too Specialized: I Fear Nobody Will Want To Play Them.

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Zael, Nov 25, 2014.

  1. Remember you aren't locked into your aspect as your character. So i can go DR get chopped to bits and immediately switch to a swooping hawk next life.

If any thing, the specialization will be a drawback for RTP since their gear isn't as shareable.

It's their lifestyle too.... The Path of the Warrior is only a single one of very many.

  4. Who cares about the Eldar... AM I RIGHT!?

Given what little I know about the Eldar, being more specialized to any degree and given the ability to spawn as any of the classes Eldar players might have a leg up in a good portion of situations rather then their limitations becoming a hindrance.

Granted they might suffer when they have multiple different threats in front of them, played right I can't see it being too big an issue and it's not like you have to do everything yourself, you have teammates to pick up the slack.
  5. Players take the Eldar, know very well what to keep playing Eldar, Eldar is be in the soul, only purists know what I mean.
  6. They have stated they are changing this
  7. well no they haven't. A dire sword is only for dire avengers. No sharing that power sword with your apothecary so to speak. If you want your basic weapon to be awesome you're buying more as eldar then as a marine.

That's a pretty big assumption. Coming into EC after having played plenty of other FPS games, I'd be more interested in trying out the new, unusual or specialised classes to see how the game is different to those I've already played. Though I'll probably main Chaos, I will definitely be trying out Eldar too. From what I've read on the forums it seems like they'll provide a very different experience to the other factions - and that's a good thing.

By and large, the Eldar community seemed quite pleased with its expanded class roster, and there will still no doubt be a simple 'speedy man with average gun/slow man big gun/man with sword' type loadout provided for every faction, whether they have 4 classes or 7. If you don't spend some time checking out the ways you can specialise and advance each class before you throw 50 hours into a single one, it's more on you than anything else.

  9. Sorry, I thought you meant between characters of the same faction.
Yeah no Orc kit for elder ;)
  10. There are ways to make them more open though.
