Right, but if they are reducing the EHP of Eldar over all of them, then they need to be adding a dps buff to compensate for it, and the slightly enhanced pen value on only low pen weapons which again are not that many, is by no means equal.

If I understand the reason for the nerf to EHP is because they are getting a dps buff, which overall is very not true.
They have shuriken pistol which is underperforming, shuriken catapult, lasblaster/sun rifle, scorpion chainsword and knives. (i think that is it) That is not even half of the standard fielded weapons for Eldar, I would think not even close. So I would rather they keep things as they are then get a minor dps boost on those weapon but a complete survivability nerf across the board.

Basically everyone gets 100 pen on base weapons, including us, this bonus pen effects everyone but Eldar, we have 80 toughness instead of 100 base which means they gain no damage bonus against us from pen as pen can only remove damage reduction not increase damage, this means we get 100 pen so its the same as everyone else and they nerf our health instead.

Personally think consider the nerf will make our TTK similar to now if our health is reduced no more than 30 health, after that and its a durability nerf less about 25 than and I guess a semi buff.

I don't know if it affects our heavy units but if it doesn't then its a flat nerf against them with only our pistols and SC being buffed in return, and reapers are already getting nerfed again for no reason.

Long story short, its a equaliser not a buff and worst case scenario depending on how its handled most likely just another nerf for us, just this time for some heavies.

You wanna nerf fire dragons twin meltabomb while happily ignoring that you can take melta + melta bomb on a tac and still cap after blowing up eldar vehicles while also ignoring the fact that Marines have multimeltas and grav cannons as well. And than you want to take the eldar advantage (speed) and make it conditional.

What you need to do is get over your bias

The buff is an unintended side effect of normalizing pen to 100. Although everyone else will be taking more damage because of this (factional balance), Eldar won't (already take full damage). Hence the alternative ehp nerf discussion.

-ASC, TLASC, shuriken pistol, shuriken cannon, lasblaster, sunrifle, SS chainsword, and knife benefit from this. (8)

-Powersword is meant to be levelled by this (chainsword taking initial damage reduction and this being inferior even against base loadouts is one of the reasons for change). (1)

-Witchblade is getting a nerf all its own. (1)

-Fusion gun, fusion pistol, reaper launcher, tempest launcher, and hawk's talon are on the sidelines. (5)

-The problem is bringing 100T to all Eldar. So FD, SS, and DR don't actually need a change, they are where they are meant to be.

-Of DA, HB, Warlock, and SH, only SH has a a weapon (Hawk's Talon) that is not purposely a part of this (fusion pistol aside, which needs a lot of work anyways).
