Oh, he has good ears, the Fire Dragon concluded. "I apologize, Shadow Spectre, for your reaction truly surprised me. I withdraw my accusation of your cowardice." Elysavar bowed his head in apology and faced the Spectre. "And I have seen many a brother fall before my eyes so I understand your anger too. I share such a passion toward the Mon'Keigh or more accurately, toward their elite: The Space Marines."
"Then it is decided. Razauil will carry the Wraithgate. Remember in order to get everyone back aboard when you are ready to extract you must all be nearby the Wraithgate. Now prepare to deploy immediately. Uirian can take you to the armory if you have need of it." ---- Time jumps The Eldar had arrived in a dense forest during the darkest moments of the night. The only source of light this night, was the stars above. They were a mere fifteen millicycles from the library and nothing could be heard from their position save for the occasional caw of a nearby bird. The Eldar each stood close together with their chosen equipment. Razauil had the Wraithgate attached to his belt. The Library is just north of your position, make haste. Stealth is the objective here, see but do not be seen. They all heard Caerys' thoughts.
Elysavar linked with the Fusion Gun and could feel the familiar sensations running through his body - he had not acknowledged it but he had missed it. This would be a good hunt, kill or no kill. "I'll take the rear." He informed. OOC: Welp need to get some sleep in, see ya tomorrow.
"I shall scout ahead. " The Warp Spider broadcasted this through his helm to the rest. A mist of blue occupied the space he had previously occupied for half a second as he warped forward up into the tree tops and began traversing them with great leaps and flips or the odd warp jump when the distance was too great. Approaching the Mon'keigh's primitive Library he stopped short of the edge of the wood and observed the area for any threats or things of note.
"I will do the task of a Shadow Spectre, stalking from the shadows, as the Mymearans taught me well." Zu'ark stated, engaging his jetpack to a high tree, taking foot on a mighty branch and sitting on it. With the patience of a hunter, the eyes of a ranger, the reflex of a pilot and the stealth of a ghost. It was a weird sensation to have not fellow Spectres among to make use of the ghostlight, but it troubled Zu'ark not as much as not able to shoot on sight. Yet the mission had to be of success... The male took his Rifle and looked beyond the forest, upon the Library. At least the Mon'keigh have somewhat skill in building... Slightly better than the Orks that was.
The outpost was as the map had shown. A few buildings but none worthy of note. The only one that was important was at the center, the Library. There was two Space Marine sentries at the front door, there armor was white with the emblem of an eagle on their shoulder pauldrons. It was not yet time for the sentries to change, a few more millicycles and they would swap. Mederion. The two at the gate will not switch, you will need to find another way in besides the front door. The next thing he noted was the single scout marine atop the roof of the building. A sniper rifle in his hand but the cover of the night and shade of the trees shielded the Warp Spider from his view.
"Mon'keigh Astartes present, Scout high, two brutes guarding the entrance. Moving in for a closer look, Farseer reports a secondary entrance may be necessary. " Judging the distance between him and the scout the Warp Spider decided he would warp out along the perimeter of the forest, getting a good view of the complex from multiple angles in search of possible entrances they could infiltrate through.
"Well then, I should also have a look at what we're facing.", Walking to edge of the forest and hiding behind a log, he took note of what the warp spider said. "I'll have a look at the fence, it won't hold against a fire dragon. The question is can I do it silently..." he whispered over the com back to the spider.
OOC sorry for not responding guys, I was a bit indisposed, but I'm here now Razauil stayed back with the Fire Dragons while Spider scouted ahead, looking at the outpost through the tree branches. He didn't interfere with Mederion's wish to do the scouting, for he wanted to see for himself the skills this Spider has. It was quite obvious that Space Marines were here, in fact Reaper caught their scent the moment they deployed. (OOC Hunter trait exploit, not much of a issue here, just using it story-char building-wise.) Shadow Spectre he conversed earlier climbed on a tree and Razauil laughed as he remembered himself hunting his prey from the safety of the trees all to many times. So he stayed back in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to start hunting...
"If not then it just means the stage gets that much more exciting my friend..." There was a soft chuckle over their private line as his eyes surveyed the area. "Looking at the patrols you may wish to open up the walls near the east, the building nearby will provide cover and I have yet to see one of the men go near there. I recommend holding though as the Scout and his primitive Rifle may very well spot you, I will deal with him shortly."
