OOC: To clarify. There's no door, just the emblem of a door. Should've wrote that a bit better. It's like a tiny picture of a door.
To Airthas' surprise, he found the opposite hallway was not blocked in any way. No locked door to block their path, not even a form of barricade, just an empty hallway. Nothing else in the area seemed to be amiss.
After losing the will to wait around any longer, Airthas gestured for the others to follow his lead. "Brother and sisters, it would appear that there is only one way to proceed. Let us move, or else we waste valuable time in idle confusion." His words were coated with mild frustration mixed with his normal, humor tainted vocal tone. Even if he was irritated by this maze, he did not want to damper the spirit of the others. With that said with enough clarity for the others to hear him, the Warlock made to stride into the hallway marked by the keyhole emblem with his walking cane at the ready.
zerelith entered the hallway with the seer her own reaper cannon ready in case anything comes running down the hall. she was beside the seer to make sure he didn't get hit.
The path ahead soon turned to the left and lead into another intersection leaving Angles with the choice of going left or right. The right path immediately made another right turn and continued straight, while the left path continued straight for quite a ways. The path took an immediate turn to the left and split into two directions. One to the right, and one to the left. The left path had another visible hallway leading off it, but a strange tile was visible at the very end of the hallway, just passed the side passage. While on the right path it immediately veered left, concealing what was on the other side of the wall.
[OOC for speed, I hope you don't mind if I use the info given to Angles as I'm going to have Jyraielle go the same way. Also, enjoy Scotland! ] Jyraielle kept up her position of bodyguard, striding alongside as Airthas made his way through the labyrinth. She could feel the same frustration, building beneath her calm exterior. She was beginning to feel as if the nameless ancients were playing with them. There doubtless was a point to the testing environment, but if it was a test of patience she felt about to fail it at any second. Approaching the tile she said, "I have a theory. If we make this sink in, then plaque with the symbol for the door will respond in some way - perhaps it will open and reveal a key. I'll press it if someone will observe the plaque. I don't want to split our group, but it will only be briefly. Angles, you seem to prefer to work at a distance - would you be willing?" "I suggest we keep in touch with vox." Looking to the Seer Airthas she nodded. "Let us be done with this as soon as we may. I thirst for the upper air and the sight of the sky!"
Airthas paused, his pace slowing to a crawl before stopping completely in between the crossroads of the two differing hallways. Examining both with unconstrained interest, the Warlock made to search about the dark sector of the mysterious path to their right. He wanted to see if it hid away anything of use. For all the team knew, the darkness housed the key they needed. The again, it could also mask a lurking threat. Either way, he had to make sure.
OOC: You mentioned a tile... But I never mentioned one where Angles went. After Airthas had rounded the corner the only thing that could be seen was a tile with an emblem of water on it. It seemed it could be pushed down if enough pressure was applied.
