Anaen held his hand up and sternly said "stop". He listened carefully and waited. He turned to the others. "That sound, it is as if something has entered the maze with us...be on your guard". He stood still once more. After moments that seemed like minutes to him, he signalled the straight path. He concentrated for a few seconds, lighting flickered around his hand providing some light. "We shall go that way" he said, his voice edged with disapproval. THIS is what happens when we split up, he thought to himself. He tightened his grip on his staff, obvious to the others of how he felt. Anger. Disapproval.
"We will have to deal with it as we go. If we stayed at the near the beginning it would have found us first. possibly." zerelith said as she brought up her reaper cannon. " We need to try to regroup with the others and find a way out. if its another stone creature we will need all the fire power we can get."
Angles makes her way all the way back to the hallway where she had been, when she notices the two Seers, the Striking Scorpion, and the Dark Reaper making their way down the hall as well.
OOC: Just to let you all know, I'm very drained of energy and don't feel that it is within my power to make the quality of posts I normally make. Airthas gracefully strode with his compatriots through the dark hallways that seemingly never ended in this Isha forsaken maze, his mind venturing well beyond the sight range of his eyes. The quietude of the walk was intruded upon by a sudden trembling that shook the world around them. His own footing was almost lost completely as his cane proved to be unable to help balance himself in a standing position. As powerful as this earthquake like experience was, the shaking ended hastily after its initial assault. Straightening fully as his cane returned to the ground underneath them, the Warlock glanced over to his comrades with a look of worry evident in his eyes. Before he could evaluate the situation in regards to the rest of the team, one of the other members immerged from around one of the corners up ahead. "Are you alright, sister? Did something happen up ahead that may have caused this?" His words where aimed at the approaching Eldar, a mix of curiosity and concern coated his vocal tone.
Angles responds with "Turns out there's a pressure plate that way" *gestures to the path she just came from* "That caused that rumbling, so other than being knocked over by that, I'm fine." She then moved the marker that she placed to mark the path that lead to the tremor plate, then walks down the other path.
Jyraielle stumbled as the ground shook. She glanced at the Warlock with the walking-stave, but Airthas was already back on a level footing. Anaen held up a hand to stop, which she did without complaint. Soon they were rejoined by Angles, and the Reaper with them was pointing out the possibility of another stone beast. All in all, not too promising. But with another glance at the ceiling, she could at least see that the roof still held. Given that she believed them to be underwater at this point, that was good. "There could be other statues," she said, "or worse, the tunnels may be unstable. I suggest we get together at the first opportunity, and keep to this route as one." She dialled up the other Strikeforce members on her vox-jewel. "Strikeforce this is Jyraielle, requesting a roll-call. We had a large tremor. Suggest you regroup at this point if possible." If needed, she got directions to them by asking Angles and hoped that everyone was all right to check in.
