She thought that over. "There is merit in what you say, Zerelith," she said, "at least then we would not be leaving anyone too far behind. I would say that is an acceptable compromise, and I would assign myself to be the bodyguard if need be."

Jyraielle turned to the two most greviously wounded or tired and sought their opinion on the matter.

OOC: I have returned from the realm of reality, ready once more to grace this wonderful forum. :p

The Warlock felt the strain of the warp pull at his senses, stressing his grasp on reality in hazing his sight and undermining his attempt to stand fully without painful surges in his mortal shell of a body. Uneasily with a headache that worked to unravel his mental strength, Airthas starched his shoulders mildly as he held firm his grip on his walking cane. While he did not want or ask for the sympathy of the other Eldar present, the support the team showed towards his wellness was touching.

He felt a tingle of unworthiness, and blessed to have such companionship. "I thank you all for your concern, but I shall be more then able to keep up. The warp may play tricks on my mind and body, but it does not handicap me so that I am not but a liability. I'm no novice to the path of the Seer, I know my limits and I can assure you that they have not been reached just yet."

"Well, then let us proceed," the Scorpion said, not looking entirely convinced that there was nothing to be concerned about, but unwilling to insult the venerable Seer.

"In that case if we have no reason to choose either tunnel, I vote we take the left and I will be rearguard." With this suggestion - and her body language made it clear that it was in no way an order - Jyraielle waited to see what Angles had found on searching.

"Don't overdo yourself, Airthas." Su'iris said - dead serious. "The limit is to go on when we are in extreme danger, not every mission here and there. We are Eldar, we are excellent warriors and do not need to go onto our very limits like Humans in every deployment."
"We are strong, but even stronger together. And with the tight bond this group shares we are capable of defeating all that comes into our way, this allows us to share the pain, share the load and most importantly share the strengths and empower us even more." A hand of hers found it's way upon the shoulder of the Warlock.
"Don't push yourself except you have to. We are as much here and as talented as you, just in different skill-sets, never forget." She smiled bright, but of course it was invisible beneath her Helmet.

Airthas shrugged his free shoulder in a display of friendly dismissal towards the worry the Guardian sent his way. He may feel weakened and slightly dazed from the side effects of his reckless overuse of the warp, but he still felt physically able to keep up with the others. "I feel fine. Really, I do. I just..."

The Warlock's words were cut short as hint of sorrow echoed in his glimmering eyes. Turning his head to look away from the rest, he felt that the voice with which he spoke was coated with a kind of guilt. "I just don't want to loss anyone here. I've seen to much death, more then anyone should have to bare witness to. I'd rather push myself into oblivion then to have to watch another of our kin suffer."

After a second of silence, he returned his gaze to met Su'iris once more. "But you speak truth. I should avoid straining myself any further." As the words escaped him, a slight smile graced his lips. "Besides, I don't want to steal the show any more than is needed of me. After all, a single performer is nothing without the entire cast."

Letting loose a short lived chuckle, the Seer gestured for the Eldar in front of him to carry on ahead. "I shall stay behind the rest of you for a time. You move on ahead. Don't let this old Warlock waste any more of your time."

Jyraielle listened to Airthas as he spoke, paying close attention to his words. That there was more there was certain. But, heartened by the thoughtful and insightful words of the Guardian, together with the older Eldar's resilience, she decided that it was time to delay no longer.

"I agree with you both. As a unit we are strongest, and in this we are following a philisophy I would see applied by all the Eladrith Asuryas. Let us procede without delay." Backing up action with words, the Scorpion took up her rearguard position, sword and pistol held ready.

From their position. Each Eldar could see that each path made a turn and then went forward, into a large maze. The entire path was clear, allowing them to see the exit, but it was hard to make out which path to take once they intermingled within, joining and various hallways simply running along each other.

The exit was on the far side, and it was clear that was where the see through paths started. Several solid doors could be seen, and what looked like buttons along different pathways, but how was all this connected?

"Well, now I know what I packed all that rope and the markers for: navigating mazes." Angles snarled. "I'll go left, I work better alone." She then walked into to the left path.

"Or we send someone ahead who marks the way with a blade or some sort while our Spirit Seer or Warlock tells them through telepathy which way to go." Su'iris suggested simply - Being somewhat dumbfounded by Angles brainless moving on.
