"hmmm if only zillyay was here she could have teleported through this." zerelith said a odd tinge of pain in her voice
"Looks like we're stuck with either building a way across, or finding a way to travel above the water, and I have significantly more hope in the former method than the latter." Angles said, after taking a final search-around around the supplies, and pocketing anything useful.
Airthas walked tiredly through the sands of the gravel beneath their feet, his boots crushing into it leaving imprints of his presence on the soft terrain. The robes he wore gracefully swept aside the dust that attempted to cling onto the silky texture of his wardrobe, defying the rocky pebbles that were unsettled as he brushed them aside in an exhausted yet surprisingly elegant manner. The walking cane supported him well as he made his stride, his metallic, gloved fist holding fast least the sands slip the cane away from his position and into the celestial waters close by. The mild breeze of the wind graced his skin in sync with the waves that assaulted the beachhead, calming and cooling with a sensation that brought peace to both mind and soul. Blissful quietude except for the sounds of the ripping sea, it was like a heavenly plain of existence. But the silence was to come to an end and the mission reminded. Like awaking from a dream, he glance sleepily to the Scorpion and listened to her idea. Placing both hands on his cane and standing straight in an attempt to give renewed life to his lax body, his words reflected his tranquil demeanor. However, as usual, he also spoke with a mild yet obviously humorous tone. "To use the Warp to traverse this plain. An interesting proposal, one that I feel could be taken one step further. Are you holding something back, my dear, or are you just pretending to be a warrior rather then an experienced Seer? You have the mind of one, more then I can say for myself." A slight chuckle escaped his lips for a time, as he gazed across the restful ocean. "Alright, everyone gather around me. Chop, chop! No time for dilly dally. We have much to do and little time to do it in, as much as I'm afraid to say it." Letting the others reinforce the proximity of his location, Airthas let his eyes close and felt his mind wonder the complex webs of the mystical power within him. A aura of bluish hue majestically formed around them all, and within each a sensation that felt like one became as light as a feather. The aura intensifying, the Warlock and his comrades slowly lifted into the air with surprising ease as their feet dangling above the sands that once housed the end of their boots. The world around him became as clear as when he observed the world with open eyes, the warp letting him become one with the calming domain that surrounded the Strikeforce. "See? One step further, just as promised." Opening his eyelids, Airthas steadily levitated them over the waters of the region and towards the exit of this place. While it vaguely sapped his energy, this was much simpler then summoning the destructive side of the warp. (OOC: Going to levitate over the water anyway, so why not just skip the boring part of building a vessel that we don't really need? Isn't warp magic grand? )
EDIT: <just before> The Warp Spider?" Jyraielle asked. "Aye, she would have been just what we needed." Briefly, she touched the slight Dark Reaper on the shoulder in a gesture of sympathy. "She was your friend? I am sorry for your loss."
[OOC I like your idea better! But my line of thinking was "easier to levitate one thing tham several things" ] "The mind of a Seer?" The Scorpion bowed her head in acknowledgement of the compliment, a faint blush on her pale cheeks. "No, I think not, though perhaps I shall be if time and wisdom allow." Watching the mental preparations of the Warlock, and marvelling at the elegant simplicity of his plan, she allowed herself to be carried above the waters like a flower upon the wind. An elegant, and truly Eldar solution.
OOC: I have returned. The group levitated a fair distance out above the water but not too far when Airthas was beginning to feel a bit drained, his prior use of his power taking a larger toll on him than he originally thought. There had been to little time for him to regain his strength. A choice now lie before them...
