"Perhaps not," the Scorpion agreed with a slight shrug. Perhaps the newcomer was just shy. She greeted the other warrior and continued along the route covered by the armoured symbol, keen to keep the group together. Although she knew that the Warlock had depths of strength she had yet to realise within herself, she did not want to leave him in a vulnerable condition, so she marched alongside him, chainsword ready.
The hall was dark except for what seemed to be fires, behind what seemed to be a glass wall, giving an ominous feeling to the room. Several painting could be seen on the wall. Images of a vast amount of water, and those who would try to cross with various means. Ahead, a single door, with an inscription above it.
Angles trys looks at the inscription above the door, taking care to not tread on any unusual surfaces.
[OOC An inscription ... "Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate."? ] Jyraielle cautiously made her way forward to examine the pictures. She put on her Aspect helm, not to enter the arms of Khaine but to make use of its scanning technology. Then she carefully examined the pictures, and the walls for any mechanisms that might trip and release all that fire.
OOC: "La speranza è il primo passo sulla strada della delusione." Airthas observed the pictures with an unbounded curiosity, scanning with his eyes every detail within its canvas as to discover any hints of an answer to the newfound barrier that blocked the Strikeforce's path. "How marvelous. These paintings are of craftsmanship unparalleled. Its absurd to have them hidden with these walls, away from those who would admire them as they should be..." The Warlock shook his head shortly after the words had escaped his lips, realizing that such a train of thought removed his mind from unraveling the solution of the puzzle set before them. Instead, his focused his attention of the inscription above the doorway from which one of the newer members stood in front of. Surely it must having something to do with the pictures, he though to himself as he renewed his attention to the paintings with renewed purpose.
The pictures all depicted a vast body of water. Some depicting a group trying to venture passed it. And others... depict those same beings, being devoured. Their vessels overturned, and their bodies snatched from the deep, their life taken in a mere instant.
