Taking point alongside Airthas and Su'iris Teras continued holding his Dire Blade at the ready for whatever may greet them down here though he wasn't exactly expecting a fight.
Jyraielle had planned to stalk in after the Seer, but she instead decided to take rearguard duty. The party might need someone alert and more heavily armoured at the back, and she hoped to fulfill that role. Marvelling at the spectacle of the ancient ruins, as if untouched now that the gate was finally opened, she asked in slightly whsipered tones, "How long do you think this has been sealed, Seer? It looks immaculate - as if time has stood still." She reached out a gloved hand, tracing a design on the wall with a keen sense of wonder.
Airthas could hardly look away from the glorious display of the ruin's interior. The carvings on the wall were masterfully cut, an exhibit breathtaking to behold. The scenery was so enchanting that the Scorpion's words had to echo against the stone for Airthas to snap out of the heavenly daze. "The legends are split about the origins of these ruins. Some say that these ruins predate our race and others state that they were constructed at least around the time of our race's creation into the universe at large. It would seem that whoever sealed this place off wanted to hide some kind of secret, be it for good or ill. What I can say with my own words is that whatever we have faced or seen in our long lives can not prepare us for what we witness within these catacombs."
Anaen trudged with the group. His head was lower than the others. His helmet concealing his face, how he liked it. He was in deep contemplation but aware of his surroundings.
As the group made their way down the stairs, it was obvious to each and every one of them that there was something prodding at their minds. It didn't seem to be any race they knew of as it felt... different. The lights soon died down and six doors were before them. Each with a number on them going from left to right, one to six. A single inscription was above every door, reading: "Enter seven." OOC: Doors in this arrangement. 1 2 3 4 5 6
"Intersting. I think one of us should enter one and then enter 6. Lets see what that does" zerelith said
"Six doors.... Seven if we include the one we came in...." Su'iris noted and put her hand on her chin. "Seven.... One Plus Six... Two Plus Five, Three Plus Four.... But that would be as simple as a Human would think - No offense Noctis." She collected her thoughts out loud. Curious she stepped around the room and looked if perhaps there was another hint or a hidden door or something of such a like. "Seven of us could also walk through door number one and it would accumulate to seven would it not?" The Black Guardian eventually asked while inspecting the area.
Anaen looked at the guardian, and back to the doors. He studied them. The guardian had already come up with all the number solutions, but there must have been more to it than just any combination to create the number. There could only be one right solution, he thought. Remaining silent, he continued to look at the doors.
