There was the sound of moving material from within. The cubes were pulled inward with a sudden loud click. The door pulled to the side and a sudden blinding light was emitted the moment it began to open. Moments passed and the door was pulled away. The interior was a bright white, as if it had been untouched by time. A single stairway leading downward was all the could be seen.

Anxiety, nervousness, excitement. Airthas was flooded with numerous emotions simultaneously as the door exposed the light with celestial magnificence. The brightness died down quickly, however, and soon reveled a lone staircase that descended deeper into the hear of the ruins. Cautiously, yet with unheralded curiosity, he gracefully and steadily walked down the stairs with his walking cane at the ready just ahead of the rest of his compatriots.
