"I can not But if it is a foe it will be struck down by our combined might" she said upholstering her reaper weapon
"Astartes! May you shoot in the air - without killing the creature to scare it off with the sound of your weapon?!" She yelled from up the tree down to the might Human.
Jyraielle observed the creature hunting as she listened to Airthas' words. "I cannot speak as to the ways of Fate, Seer," she said, with a faint touch of a smile, "but as this is your home, perhaps you will know of these ruins? We have been sent to explore them and did not know of anyone living very close. There is some kind of panel at the entrance, and it takes five blocks - we have found one, with a fish carving." Jyraielle showed the Warlock the stone box she had set down on the lakeside. "I found it in some of the plants at the bottom of the lake." She watched as the waterbeast executed a sharp turn, weaving expertly through the fronds. "I had hoped to perhaps distract the beast so I might search its lair, or -" A sudden thought occurred to the Scorpion. "Do you know if such a being can communicate with us? Or failing that - well, I had hoped that the fish might be a good sort of ... icebreaker or distraction?" Nothing in her Shrine's teachings had prepared her for dealing with alien reptiles, so she was a little out of her depth.
Airthas sent an inquisitive looked at the stone cube palm of the Scorpion's hands before smirking mildly in amusement. "You are on the right path, but the way forward is not so easily completed. I can, however, be of help. The 'beast' nearby is known as a Caunkanion, the guardian that never sleeps. Caunkanion is considered to the protector of these ruins, watching over it as to oppose those who wished to abuse the knowledge within the chamber from which you seek to enter. Now, it has been said in the prophesy of old that those with noble intentions would seek out its acceptance in a quest to discover the ruin's secrets." He humorously chuckled as he remembered the old prophesy that the tribes have whispered throughout the ages, coming to the realization that he was now watching it manifest itself into reality. "It would seem that day is fast arriving, if we are indeed noble in intentions. Now then, I have heard stories of Exodites seeking Caunkanion out in dire situations. The legends often tell of it having an impressive intellect, having been made by the great creators of the universe. Not sure what that means, but all accounts have shown that those who prove themselves may gain its blessing. I'm sure that if we do the same, we can discover the hidden truths we need to unravel. But first, I would ask you show me the location of the cave."
Jyraielle paused for a moment, taking in the Seers's words. She took off her helmet. She no longer needed the mandiblasters to hunt - she had no need to take more fish, and she wasn't planning on doing any more diving just yet. Some kind of prophecy did ring true. But she wasn't under the War Mask, so her thoughts and emotions ran as freely as they usually did, and her sense of humour with them. "Certainly I can do that; I got a good look at it when I was in the lake. It is on the lake bed." The Scorpion grinned. "I know my intentions are noble, Seer. How about yours?" It was outrageous of course; and she firmly believed that he was as righteous as he needed to be; but her Saim-hann blood just needed to tease the stoic old psyker just a little.
Airthas laughed aloud for a moment, amused by the Scorpion's attempt at humor. "Have some faith, Scorpion. I can assure you that my intentions are as noble as yours. Now, let us focus on the task at hand. You wouldn't mind obtaining the creature's attention and bring it out, would you? I'd rather not get these robes wet as they soak so easily and limit my mobility. Not to mention they are rather uncomfortable as a result, I'm afraid." His words were coated with his own comical disposition as a result of the conversation.

-Su'iris- Noctis aimed upward, and fired a single bolter round into the air. Immediately the bird was startled and flew off. A series of frantic chirps were emitted from within the nest as it flew off. -Catacombs- As the group drew closer they saw the rune from earlier. The "death" rune was embedded into a single brick within the walls. Though, it was obvious this "brick" was much different. The hallway continued for a short duration then stopped in a dead end. -Lake- OOC: Waiting on a decision from you two. GM Note: Took a slight break from the RP, I guess you could call it that, but am ready to pick it up again. Updates should be more consistent now.
