Epic idea for sure, but I think the coding and the servers might cry out lol. I do like the idea for sure though !!!
  2. They could just give Eldar more Evasion chances.

Tacticals can roll 3 times before out of stamina, maybe Eldar can get 4-5 rolls out of a Stamina bar to give more iframes and chances to negate damage to compensate for squish and still require skill to maximize survivability.
    Necroledo and Teshkomije like this.

That's exactly what we're going to see. Eldar play will, I suspect, be very high on circle-strafing, acrobatics, and other staples of Quake-style shooter play. And to those who worry about staying power, will Wraithguard be a playable class? Because that would solve some of those problems.

    a post release elite class.
  5. Eldar should be able to circle strafe and shoot during rolls.

A-D-A-D spam is a cancer that should be purged. Can't say I'm in favor of that being emphasized.

I'm fully confident Eldar are going to dominate when they arrive (until the Orks come of course). In open maps the sniper spam will mow down anything that moves. In crowded maps they'll hit so fast no one will be able to react in time. I pity the Lascannon user: keeping a lock on is hard on slow Space Marines (imo the charge up has got to go if it's going to have any relevance)

Their Troops classes won't get sniper rifles. Ranger is going to be an Elite class. Most of the Troops classes currently planned are close-quarters or mid-range specialists - Dire Avengers, Dark Reapers, Fire Dragons, Howling Banshees, Swooping Hawks, and Warlocks. That's two mid-range, 1 close-range, two melee, and a support. Heavy bolters and storm bolters will help against them at long range and short range respectively.

BTW, Lascannon isn't an anti-infantry weapon, unless you're targeting Devs. It's meant to be used against light vehicles, which is why it had a lock-on.
  9. You cant stop it, It hasn't even begun

You realize the game is not going to stay small map current lobby arena style shooter, right? The size of it is going to continue to grow. Factions should have the same spawn timers because even without having the exact same Armor/HP values their asymmetric differences should cause them to be asymmetrically balanced with each other(AKA asymmetrical balance). Yes, not nailing their flavor would be bad. That is obvious.

It's not what I was saying. Using a system of body-capping like PS2 forces the two sides to try cramming the most bodies into the building/near the objective, which in turn could be detrimental to the Eldar. The enemy all cramming together around the objective leaves them open to AoE weapons.

If this game ever became an e-sport I would completely expect Eldar players to count kills, doing their best to try and be Eldar by proving their combat superiority. Eldar certainly have the technology to go for complete force destruction. In the actual WH40K universe many of the places the Eldar go they are not trying to claim, so they can usually just strike/do whatever they need to and vanish. When they are actually trying to take and/or hold a position they have to actually take and/or hold that position. bE already does reward more for objective-based gameplay than it does for sheer kills.

Yes. The Heavy Bolter being able to suppress as it does cuts out a large portion of the Eldar's ranged combat. Doesn't matter how fast they are and what positions they can get into when a few shots at them screws their aim.

Players should be able to Dodge 10 times before out of Stamina because Attacks, Blocks(which should replace clang) and D.Bashes should require Stamina to perform. Running out of Stamina should not cause a stun it should slow melee attack/move speeds, increase the Dodge cooldown and prevent Blocking.
    B(asic)A(ttack), C(harge)A(ttack), D(efensive)B(ash)
    Combat Knife: 30 BAs, 13 CA/DBs
    Chainsword: 25 BAs, 12 CA/DBs
    Power Sword: 20 BAs, 9 CA/DBs
    Power Axe: 15 BAs, 7 CA/DBs
    Power Fist: 10 BAs, 5 CA/DBs
    Thunder Hammer: 5 BAs, 3 CA/DBs

Staying power isn't necessary if your weapons kill your enemy just as quickly as your enemy's weapons kill you.

Dark Reapers are most certainly long range, their Reaper Launchers having more range than even a Heavy Bolter(RL 48" vs HB 36").
