Sorry, I meant in relation to the tabletop As far as I know, you can only have up to 2 sorcerors per detachment (not including Thousand Sons or allies).
"Support role". The phrase sounds and feels like we're telling them to cast buffs and then sit back, look pretty, and not get in anyone's way. Not that I'm trying to insult your phrasing with that, and to be honest - you're quite right in a way. Certainly, Warlocks can buff and debuff, but as far as I know they are essentially your Magic Swordsman kind of archetype. They buff shit up and fuck shit up. Who knows, perhaps with horizontal progression we will have a wide variety of Warlock styles - those leaning towards supporting and buffing allies, and those leaning towards rekkin' scrubz.
I ve played 40k for the last 20ish years. I started at 2nd edition. In my opinion all the old aspect warrior should be there. Striking scorpion , Swooping hawk , Banshee , Fire Dragon I would also love to see Guardian " why? " Guardian are the only pilot for any vehicle. That sound kinda weird but eldar are a heavy specialize army. If the aspect warrior would not be able to drive it would make sense. I would also love to see the wraithguard. I m gonna be happy whatever they bring BUT if DA DR and warlock are my 3 only choice , im going with the green tide even if eldar was my main tabletop army for so long. Nobody like Dark Reaper , Dire Avenger are flavour less , and warlock .... WAAGHHHHHH
I was rethinking it , and Banshee HAVE to be in. There is some girl gamer and giving them the banshee would be the only female playable. Girl space marrine and ork ... no thanks. Eldar female , yes please
Well yes, but the point is that they're still more rare than something like Havocs or Raptors. Then again, it's not a stretch to say that Chaos have more psykers (which is probably true). Oh hell yeah - Witchblades! Those things are lethal! Yeah I can imagine that we'll be allowed to specialise, much like how the tabletop ones are given different powers (or builds in MMO terms). I'm soiling myself now at the thought of fighting one with that armour save reducing power. Anyway, a support class definitely doesn't make for a physically weak class. I imagine that they'll be treated somewhat like a cleric from DnD - a buffer but still easily able to kick ass and take names. Warlocks will probably just occupy the same slot as the other "support" classes like Apothacaries (who themselves can still be powerful). I think all Eldar paths can be taken by either gender, including Howling Banshees. Banshees just happen to be the only models that have breasts modelled on them. Similarly, Imperial Guard also have female Guardsmen (ie Lieutenant Mira) and the Tau Fire Caste is a complete 50/50 split between genders, but both are unrepresented by models. I think you'll probably just recieve a gender choice when making an Eldar character.
I love Dark Reapers Also, you damn say that again about dire avengers at this ...not sure I understand what warlocks got to do with orks.
