So they are shorter? I've sworn up and down they were and everyone says "Nah they're the same" because you recover faster from a flip than a roll.
Eldar i-frames seem to be much shorter, though with Orks I kind of almost never feel like I got i-frames. While on my CSM I notice them when shots fly at me.
They were the same at one point, and mixed highly mobile gameplay with the identical I-frames made a lot of Eldar players exceptionally good at dodging explosives. That is to say, we didn't even need to acknowledge their damage. We just had to roll. But, good old bE; instead of admitting maybe I-frames are kind of silly and break the game in their own way, decided to lower the amount of I-frames Eldar have across the board for "asymmetrical balance."
To be fair, Eldar are the only ones who regularly flip out of Dbashes and win from losing RPS. The flip speed and distance are far superior to the other factions.
Huhuhuhu. No. Everyone can do that on just the same basis. Especially Jump units. Eldar are perhaps those who do it most because they can identify how their opponent is acting. But no, if Eldar are flipping out more than other factions, it's a player-side issue, not a game issue.
You cant roll out and fire bolt-justice in the enemy face because you have longer roll animation. JPA prevail, it is true.
This is a good point... But for DA, you can only do it if the attacker isn't RMBmashing, in which case he'll just gut you down. Or if he doesn't have a shield. Or if he isn't a JPA...
I cant realise iframes too. Or its too short compared to other races but why lol? I can shoot a half of the clip of ASC to iframed marine but marine with bolter shred me in beginning and at end of animation where im still rolling. Its fucking frustrating.
Eldar players are better at identifying what their opponent is doing? No, I don't think so. There are some on the forums who believe that Eldar have a faster recovery time on their roll animation and so are able to roll out of Dbashes quicker/easier than other races. Are they shorter? I think this is a myth. Well to be precise I believe that Orks and Eldar have exactly the same time on their iframes and CSM/LSM have slightly longer. Orks definitely take damage before the roll animation has finished (which feels the same amount of time as the Eldar iframes to me).
