This is surprisingly lore accurate. The wraithguard are supposed to be very difficult to control thus only fallen heroes are supposed to use them. And since the "Wraithsight" they use to control the wraithguard often faces warp interference that disrupt their ability to discern realspace and control the unit, the warlocks help them maintain a proper *connection* of sorts. So now it's speculation time: How will the warlocks assist the wraithguard ? Close proximity ? A certain ability used from time to time ? How would they survive being close to the melee version of the wraithguard ?(or will such a thing exist) How much worse would the wraithguard perform without a warlock ? Will the warlocks of Iyanden be called spirit seers and be specific to that craftworld, thus a bit better at helping wraithguard but a bit less offensive then normal warlocks ? Can I roleplay a depressed wraithguard ?
I meant to say that I'm sad they will have little interaction with each other ,other than the unlock. Warlocks buffing the wraithguard sounded great as an idea.
Warlocks will buff everyone not just wraithguard... warlocks are our support class, what we need to know is what kind of powers we will have... and if we can fire lightning from our fingertips DOW 2 style, that the most important thing of all.
will other warlocks who did not pick that tree be able to provide bonuses to nearby wraithguard? and if its a tree, then how will they function vs terminators and the like? will they be as rare/powerful? from what im understanding, anybody will be able to choose them, and so they will be quite common..
There's been talk that the psyker class for each faction will have a cost to spawn, similar to the MAX in Planetside 2, what with psykers being powerful in the 40k universe. I'm assuming the Wraithguard will fall under this category but will the Warlock also?
I think the wraithguard is supposed to be a hero class that the warlock can unlock, that seems the most reasonable due to their hardiness and destructive power.
