I just got lucky on that live version. I love the Requiem too. I just wanted to put a short version up, to make sure people listened to it.
when I think of music representing a race, I try to think of braking down Eldar to their base lore in dot point. Ancient Race Extremely advanced technology Wise, Cunning, Mysterious Selfish, prideful Sadness at the decline and slow extinction of the race at the hands of Slaanesh Regret from the fall and fear that all is lost for other races and they are doomed to the same fate.
I have come to revive the ancient spirit of this thread. I wanted to add: Masters of a thousand arts and sciences. Grace learned by a tenfold lifetime. Alien desires, Alien thoughts. Speed of their craft Power of their weapons Balance of their minds.
Had a go seek for more music. Found some more inspiration: For example, if you do use synth in your orchestra, this is how it's done

I think it's one of the most fitting yet: And I also think some inspiration could be taken from Attack on Titan's soundtrack. It's epic, very sad, and you also have fragile warriors that rely on mobility to survive and win. Plus it mixes up several music types, even orchestral, chorus and some electronic. This song in particular evolves a lot. It might feel strange for Eldar at the start, but I picture it this way: the first part is the terror Eldar suffer from their enemies and the lives they lose. Then, they put on their War Mask and go to war while realizing they might get lost in that Path. At the end they fight with tears in their eyes, the Avatar of Khaine towering between their ranks. Found some interesting instruments that would definitely bring out a more alien feel: The Pandrum Rhimba Tubes: Waterphone: Kodo Drums (WAR!) Just thought that might add to the sounds on top of what's already in motion. + Synth like robeast!
