Eldar Melee

  1. Im just curious. How do you think about Eldar melee right now?
    Anything that could be better? Allready too good? Some... tweaks needed here and there maybe?

    Well i know for sure Katitof is somewhere lurking to eat my head for this cause i talk about the precious eldar but...
    let's see what people think without giving any opinion right away in the OP Post.

    Of course you may allready guess that i wouldn't bring something up if i think it's totally fine but ignore this fact as good as you can.

    Let the games begin.

    EDIT: Oh, Chaos perspective here. So im curious about orks and stormshield-tales as well. Maybe some eldarkin can give us their perspective too?

    The Banshee appears to have the longest recovery time from charge/dash attacking out of all Eldar classes, so I wouldn't mind that getting fixed sometime even though I dont play the class.

    Apart from that give me some non sword melee weapons, we only have one melee weapon(sword) on every melee class

    Banshee needs their sprint/evade attack fixed.

    Other than that, more polish would be nice.

    They are solid if you stick too their appropriate rolls. Banshee on the assault, Scorpion from surprise, and Warlock supporting and jumping into the fight as necessary. Apply liberal amounts of cover and dodge to avoid d-bash or get behind em. Give or take.

    Eldar melee options are severely lacking. All our weapons have low impact, which means clanging with high impact weapons like axes/mauls/maces is basically death. Seriously those weapons are like anti-eldar. But I suppose that's eldar's trade-off for... stuff.

    Sure would like to see singing spear, mirror swords, triskele, and scorpion claw, and some form of the mandiblasters of course.

    Also power fist with strom/combi-bolter for Chaos.

    When I play scorpion I usually end up with a fair amount of kills. I struggle in a straight up melee brawl vs a dedicated assault class, but then again, I'm supposed to. If I'm trying to melee 3 assault units at once, I'm in the wrong place fighting the wrong classes. When hitting support units like havocs, pain boyz and general ranged like tactical marines, I can keep pace fine, and usually down them in 1-3 hits at most. I try to leave the heavy assault for banshees.

    Banshees preform well enough for me too. I don't use them much as I just don't like em tons, but when enemy is massing jump pack units and shield assault, I'll get the banshee on the field for the armor pen and life steal. Usually take out a few before I bite it! All in all I think they are fine, and don't need any major overhauls. Just some small fixes like ones people have posted here.
