The Eldar are quick, precise and graceful. But when it comes to brute firepower they are lacking. They do okay without it, but a ranger long rifle would go a long way (pun intended, I'm not sorry) to increase their maneuverability. I know that the Eldar are going to get a Ranger as an elite, but a lack of a real sniper rifle (the stalker can function as one, but it is primarily a scouting rifle) in this game seems a bit off. I hope the Eldar do get a long rifle, it'll set them apart and let them give their allies some support.
Brent said that eldar are supposed to be good at long and close range. I bet my coin on the swooping hawks. If you got no long range rifle, you should have someone who can get close range
"Outcast Rangers" were originally pitched as one of the elite classes you buy with tokens. They'll probably have the sniper weapons
Main purpose the swooping hawks is air grenade bombers and their primary weapon will be something like a boltgun equivalent. Idk why people do so many topics with stupid questions. All we have the 1st iteration of Eldar that means lack of anything. Just be patient and time delivers all you asked. Eventually.
Outcast Ranger is just a version of Dire Avenger Veteran, so I'm sure he'll be in. His gun is supposed to be a Catapult with scope, so he's not actually a sniper either.
and hes a damn "elite" which means you have to save your tokens and then pay to spawn that character for a single life/match (we dont know which)
I just hope they won't be OP like heroes in EA's Battlefront. In 1v1, they should have vastly more advantages than basic classes. But 2v1, anyone should be able to take them down, except for Termies and equivalents though.
Elites are gonna cost tokens to spawn and then stick around for only a life or a match? It may be just me, but that reminds me too much of those f2p shooter games where you can buy a weapon or attachment for a set amount of days and then you either renew your rent or don't get to keep using it. Always hated that model since I prefer to get something and then not worry about how long i can use it. Sounds even worse in a game like EC where people will often change classes in the middle of the match to suit the flow of battle. Really hoping you can permanently acquire an elite, even if they have to add some sort of cooldown mechanic so people don't just constantly use them.
