at this point this topic must be renamed "the most derailed thread in the eldar forum" (please stop this endless and pointless argument)
But I quite enjoyed watching DakkaFace show how completely out of touch he is in regards to pc games. If he can't wrap his head around the mechanics of anRTS (the second closest game genre, behind turn based strategy, to TT) he is going to throw a planetary shitfit when he finds out what EC is going to be like after launch. Sorry for taking it there
well true , the lore can't be 100% respected if we are to play ec one day , but that was getting a bit over the top
Warhammer 40k is pretty over the top -> Eldar are in Warhammer 40k -> Therefore technically, in a roundabout way, we were very very loosely on topic! On the topic of being on topic, I wholly disagree with the Shuriken Catapult's depiction in that it has muzzle flash. I'd expect that from a gun that causes an explosive reaction of some sorts in it's barrel, but not a Shuri Cat.
I guest on this, maybe they thought that when the weapons power source generates those high energy impulses make those "pew-pew" sound?
I want to go back to the Wraithblade thing. I don't se this as a Wraithblade. To me it actually looks like a Wraith lord. I'm posting pictures so you can se the difference. This is a zooming pic from the video. First of, note the two pillars on its back (even though they are not two sets of three pillars as the TT model). The Wraithblades i have seen have only one set of pillars or one single. And if you look even closer at the video pic you can se that it has something on its arm. It could be a Shimmer shield, but i think not. More like one of the weapons Wraithlords can equip on their elbows. Imo i would be happier with a Wraithlord. Wraithblade will probably be an upgrade for the Wraithguard.
Thats a wraithblade because size. A Wraith Lord would be twice the size, they tower Space Marines easily (see DoW2 reference; that seemed pretty legit)
