Also as its the wave serpent, fire prism and warp hunter being used. does everybody expect their performance to be the same, just outfitted with more dakka? Or will warp hunter be slowed and extra armor given as its role in game is essentially stand still and shoot the big gate?
probly fill the same role as the vindy and have similar stats look, but there be more then just gates to blow up later down the road, atleast i hope... i kinda wanna blow everything up
So if there's not going to be any flying mechanic or effective floating mechanic, what's going to set the eldar tanks from the rest? Are they just going to be carbon copies of rhino's and vindicators with different models, animations and effects? Are they going to make them more vulnerable? If they are, then how is an eldar tank supposed to beat a space marines without any mechanics that makes up for the vulnerability?
They probably will hover but won't be able to fly or lift any higher than a set amount above the ground, allowing the Devs to place items with the necessary height to block those grav-tanks from getting into locations the other faction's vehicles cannot.
Fantastic ideas. One of my central complaints about DoW2 was how aggressively everything was homogenized; I'm all for bold mechanical variation like these. Of course balance is a bugbear. I wonder if EC will end up gating certain battlegrounds by squad size. I ponder as much aloud because organization will likely separate out the lucky from the dead and that kind of reality is unkind to the "casual" playerbase that reliably makes up 80% of any player base Or maybe flying units will come and create a counter-measure. Skimmers can counter fortifications; Air Superiority counters skimmers; AAA counters AS.
