    For RP reasons my characters sex should not change...unless i die and only my soul is used or something similar...for me it would break immersion!

    well GW at least in regards to making male banshee miniatures...the quote in the OP seems to indicate that GW is actually requesting Banshees can be male

    the phrase "by GW request" indicates the people requesting it is GW requesting it of BE, not BE requesting it of GW,
    which itself is weird GW has the IP, why are they requesting, they should be straight out "telling", they same way they "told" BE no BT's

    'Request' might be the diplomatic word for it. Instruction, perhaps, more honest...
    It would be a rare day that GW 'requested' anything from those working with their IP - they supposedly rule over it with an iron fist.

    there are levels of immersion surely, and while changing classes is a required evil in the EC framework...changing sex for one aspect is a weird thing to apply

    It really isn't any more weird than turning into a hero unit, who are completely different characters.
    They are about the same for me on immersion levels.
