'ello guvs Hijacking this thread just to give a heads up: I'm going to follow in Demetri's footsteps and have a European Eldar event on Tuesday evenings (Thinking 18:00 GMT). That is not to say that it is restricted to Europeans, but the time of the event primarily has Eurozone in mind. EC is pretty much covered by Saturday's event, so I was thinking it could be a Dawn of War event (subject to interest) since most people will have the games, though any other suggestions are welcome. Interest here! To my chagrin I have never played DOW/DOW2 online. It's something I wish to remedy but I've been scared to just jump in due to the inevitable crushing defeats it would surely lead to. Anyone willing to train a DOW PvP noob? At the very least it will glean you some easy victories as you hammer me into the ground but I won't feel so bad if I know the person beating me and they are happy to offer tips to help me improve.
@Azurand , @Lichtbringer , and @Krakza can definitely show you DoW2. @Vuiet or @Dark-Knight can do Soulstorm. We were also toying with the idea of doing TT sim with a larger crowd. A tournament even.
I don't actually have Soulstorm, I have Dark Crusade, I lost the case for Soulstorm millennia before I could use the code to redeem a Steam copy. Also I'm up for helping to organise a TTS Tournament or campaign or atleast being part of one.
Wait? There is someone I actually have a chance of beating in a fair fight Anyhow, doesn't the DoW: Apocalypse work with Dark Crusade, or do you actually need Soulstorm?
From what I can dig up, you need Soulstorm, however Firestorm over Kronus and the Titanium wars mod should work.
You need Soulstorm. I played Dark Crusade many many many times, it is my favorite. DoW 2 I got fairly decent at it, but I fail mid/end game, unless I play someone mediocre, then I crush them.
