Chaos vs Eldar on the new map. Chaos couldn't even capture the first objective until the last minute. Fire Dragon is strong, just as every Melta is. Dire Avenger requires use of Aim mode but is fine if you do. Added bonus of blinding your target.
-I can't put my finger on it but Eldar Mobility seems much worse than the mobility I'm used to on my Astartes Ground Assaults. In situations where I'd normally CRUSH a ranged opponent on the Bro or MoN GA, I'm lucky if I get a kill on the Eldar "melee specialist" Striking Scorpion. More often than not I end up getting killed. -According to the rules set Fast attack > Strong Attack > Defensive Bash > Fast Attack. At least on my Eldar melee toons, Strong attack does abso-f'ing-lutely NOTHING versus defensive bash. Videos to follow... I think I've got up to 6 strong attacks versus a defensive bash spammer, with ZERO effect. After 2 strong attacks you need to be able break the Dbash spam and kill your opponent on the spot. With Strong attacks not reliably defeating Defensive bash in a timely fashion, our melee system is completely broken. We do not have the time to stand there launching strong attack after strong attack after strong attack all to no avail. -If the Eldar classes are all supposed to be highly specialized, what's so special about the Striking Scorpion? They're basically an Astartes GA with a cloaking device. How's that "specialized"? They're a GA with a invisibility cloak and nothing more. One would expect a signature move or some sort of special melee ability with an associated cooldown. For example some sort of special leaping, long range attack when attacking from stealth.
Yeah, strong attack not beating dbash is a bug that's been known for a while. You probably just never noticed because you only backstab and roll attack + fast attack on your JPA.
Striking Scorpion is the only basic class in the game right now that has Stealth, isn't that uniqe enough? GA with a cloak and nothing? Then are Shieldbro also just a GA with a shield and JA just a GA with a jump pack? You know you can use charged attack from stealth right? Plus charged attack still one-shots every character from behind. The problem with SC right now is that there is a graphical glitch that let ppl with high settings see them, but devs are aware of it.
Having played about 15-20 full matches right now I can tell that Eldar have a lot of potential, but here are major issues that I detected the most: 1.Mobility in general: Seems that any marine or chaos marine can outrun me when he is running away from me, which blows my mind being a supposed fast eldar. 2. Melee: Eldar melee attacks do not cover as much ground upon a strike as other factions, making them less mobile when engaged in melee fight. 3.Grenade throwing animation: I didnt clock it, but it feels like an animation of throwing a grenade lingers on for some 2 seconds after you get to move around or do anything, and it feels like a handicap when compared to a much faster throwing animation of other factions. 4. Shuriken cannon can't be braced: Im talking fences like heavy bolter, the fence even blocks your line of fire, so you cannot gain high ground suppression advantage. 5.Most classes cannot equip healing item: Is that meant to be? Doesnt seem fair since now every chaos class (including ground assault) can equip healing item. Eldar scorpion, reaper and warlock cannot equip healing item which seems really unfair. Thats about it from the main issues. I do hope that with arrival of banshees and hawks and ofcourse couple of tweaks on current classes Eldar will turn around fine, but for the moment they fell very squishy, their weaponary/classes somehow limited and as a faction on whole quite underpowered at this moment. Having said that Im still glad I can play along and looking forward to further improvments
Well, I played DA for a few hours. As a DA, I have: - A tickle gun. It's like stormbolter, but instead of damage it does friendship. You can always rain sparkles and be fashionable with this weapon. - Glitter grenades. Completely child-friendly - you can never do harm with them, so it's okay to let your kid play with them while you're away. - A pistol - great acessory to any dress my male DA can wear. It can also rain additional friendship. - A faboulous hat, long and strong and manly, and not overcompensating in any way. - A death wish. A great experience overall, I must say, but I think the hat needs some nerfs, since the game crashes after I cap two or more points. Too awesome and stylish and manly for the game to handle, you see, and I'm certain the hat is to blame.
Umm Reaper Cannon is utter crap. Does nothing to vehicles. Suppression is king. Auto cannons are ridiculously OP. Fire Dragon weapon overheats way too fast. You get two shots and your dead.
It's also stupidly overpowerd, chopping off 100% armor and 90% health if you so much as graze a marine for a fraction of a second
