Eldar Executions

  1. Banshee's slowly take off their battle suits and fling back the hair then run their fingers through messing it up a little followed by a wink, That would terminate me pretty good ;3

    Here's one I posted in the thread "Execution Brainstorming!" that can be for Eldar:
    Name: <I can't think of one>
    Executor: CSM Sorcerer/Eldar Warlock (or any psyker really)
    Victim: All
    Weapon: Force Blade
    Speed-grade: Fast
    Description: The psyker lifts and holds the victim off the ground with their mind and a gesture before channeling energy into their force sword, then pulling the victim into the thrust of their sword, stabbing it into their targets abdomen, exploding the victims body.
    Inspired from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - video example here @1:03:48.
    Eldar variant: Have the Warlock throw their weapon into the still floating target with telekinesis, exploding them, then levitating the blade back to their hand. (inspired by the above + a DoW 2 execution here @3:27)​

    Overall the Eldar executions should be efficient. Also graceful? display martial/psyker prowess. The Warlock sync kills with a sword in Dawn of War 2 are a good example of what I mean, though perhaps too showy or slow for a shooter. Of course can have more brutal stuff too. In the short story The Silent Death Jain Zar kills the Dark Angel Captain by simply cutting his throat to the bone with her Triskele. Also Saim-Hann are described as being more savage than the other craftworlds.

    Executions also give bonus EXP (in livestream it was 100 for downing an enemy player then 100 for successful execution*) so every class should be capable of doing it and as such should get a variety of them. Of course if someone else executes a target you down then you can get bonus exp too. Simple solution. "Assist counts as kill" is already a thing in Battlefield 4.

    I got nothing for Dark Reapers. It's hard to come up with an execution for a gun user (well orks would probably club enemies with their guns but they're orks). I've never heard of DAR using bayonet type things for their weapons and without that all they really can do is what we saw the Hvy Bolter LSM do in a livestream, which was kick the enemy on their back and put some rounds in them. Or simply put shots into their head. It doesn't seem like Hvy Wpns classes get a knife either but it's possibly different for Eldar, unlikely imo. I actually hope EC does give DR some sort of bayonet on their weapons. Could go for a blade like the brute shot has in Halo series (I am referring to the bigger one on the back of it but could go with different placement & different style of blade/pointy object/chainbayonet):

    For reference, the DR weapons currently in the store:

    I can only see another placement of some sort of bayonet blade/spike/chainbayonet would be under the barrel.

  3. Eldar executions should be ninja/samurai style
    aiming for vital spots
    but they should also be arrogant like a god is punishing one of his creations for not behave like he want it to

    for example a banshee execution could be like this
    the banshee lifts up the head of the fallen enemy
    the enemy is mobilising his last power reserves and pushing himself up to do a weak strike with bare fists (or weapon) the banshee just Summersaults over the enemy to dodge the attack
    the enemy is turning around to try another attack
    the banshee spins herself around the attack and the enemy
    they stand back to back, the banshee strikes blind behind her and impale the heart(s) of the enemy and let him sink to the ground to die

    IMO banshees should sumersault over the head of their enemy while slicing it. This highlights their acrobaticness which is one of their main strenghts hell, they even have one special rule called "Acrobatic".

    To me executions should aim to represent the different aspects' traits and strenghts. For exemple, Striking scorpions should backstab their enemy while finish him off with their mandiblasters when they fall to the ground or something.

  7. In regards to ranged executions, you could get bonus xp (like 50) when someone else executes your prey. Everyone is happy :D
  8. I can imagine if they add Warp Spider, he/she would like shoot the guy, than port behind kick, port kick, port kick like in Dawn of War 2 :D :D Just dream.. I dont believe that is possible

    A range execution sounds amusing at first but isn't practical since the Execution XP is to reward the CC classes since they will die a lot. But for ranged classes it may be an option just increase the Execution range a touch and make it a half second or a second longer since they don't have to be as close. I do like the idea of different classes having different execution time limits though. For example a Banshee or Assault Marine having a short execution time (but brutal, artful, or gory depending on faction). A Tactical Marine or Dire Avenger having a Execution that is twice time of the Assault Marines or Banshee. While a Dark Reaper or Devastator has a slightly (two character model lengths or something) further away Execution that takes twice as long as the Tactical Marines or Dire Avengers. That would even out the range advantage and still allow for extreme range classes to get Executions... but I don't really think ranged classes need Executions since ranged kills are easier to get and they probably won't need the reward XP as badly as the CC classes.

    As for Eladr Executions I love the Banshee practically dancing around the Space Marine but since they have to be in a downed state it would probably be better to stick with those for now. So here are a few thoughts...

    Banshee with Sword & Pistol: Crawling animation- Shooting the downed enemy causing them to rise to their knees then with a few slashes of her blade (to the neck, chest area, etc) pauses then as the blood flows turns her back to them and flourishes her blade. It could be the altered to have the Banshee (if mirror swords is an option) to have her start with a upward slash instead of the pistol shots and end off with flourishing both blades.

    Ground Animation- The Banshee Impales the downed enemy in the stomach and drives her blade with effortless ease to his chest then with a brutal wretch twists the sword and steps over the corpse while flourishing the blood from the blade.

    Reaper: Crawling animation- The Reaper Kicks the crawling enemy onto his back, levels his reaper launcher and takes his head off in a shower of gore and watches as the body slumps to the ground and lowers his weapon appearing bored.
    Ground animation- The Reaper fires his reaper launcher taking off the up held arms attempting to guard the head of the struggling foe before again blowing the enemies head off.

    These are just my thoughts for them and with the right effects and movements could look awesome even with how simple they may first sound. These are just my thoughts on the matter from the few clips I've seen of Executions animations.
