The potential problem is that Shuriken catapult might be another bolter with different skin and effects, but still a bolter. It's just a part of our lifestyle. You know, farseers, predicting, solving future problems, this kind of stuff. Bring me shiny things for Warp Hunter, and i will buy them all. Oh... So shall we summon him here or he is a farseer enough to hear our mental call?
I'd like to also add that solving hypothetical problems before they arise can also be considered being prepared. I'd rather see BE prepared than behind. I totally agree with "Not reskinning the Bolter" as well. Not to sound totally conceited. You can't prepare for everything I know, but that doesn't sound reasonable to me. I get that not every solution on the forum is mint. Gotta pick your battles.
Sorry if this is throwing a spanner in the works but doesn't Bladestorm require a DA Exarch to be present? I didn't see anyone mention that. Am I interpreting the rule wrong or has the rule been changed?
Bladestorm: When firing a weapon with this special rule, a To Wound roll of a 6 wounds automatically, regardless of the target’s Toughness, and is resolved at AP2. All shuriken weapons have this rule.
You were on the right track though. Warlords and formations can issue commands that increase the firepower of all Eldar in range. Warlocks also enhance the ranged capacity of the Eldar as well. Didnt see anything about Exarchs though.
Agreed, which is why I really want to see some sort of active critical reward for players to strive for while playing, not passive or reliance on opportunistic play (i.e. camping) So I thought a bit about all the different mechanics that amount to this in FPS's and other games and if the "threading" isn't a possibility to represent Bladestorm or Rending, what about: Bladestorm - Critical Mass: Halo 1 Needler: With a high fire rate, if a player, or multiple players puts enough successive shots into a player they are rent by the storm of blades and explode with the following sound: Rending - Migrating Critical Hitboxes : Like Fiora from LoL, or innumerable old school shoot em up games: Shooting anyone in a normal hitbox will result in the weapon's base damage. Periodic Critical hitboxes will appear on enemies that you are facing. Shooting inside them will reward extra damage. In melee, striking an enemy on the facing of the hitbox (see Fiora Vitals above) will reward a critical hit. Both types are randomly generated. It's up to the player to score hits while they are active. Pyschic powers and spotting increases the generation of more hitboxes.
Well that doesn't really represent skill or critical hits. It's just a more powerful weapon which Shuriken's aren't necessarily.
