So I noticed that with the last patch Eldar finally got some more colours in terms of what Craftworld they picked. Machines and Warlocks represent their Craftworld colors now, but my question is if and when can we expect the same colour variety on other eldar classes? I'd imagine that Dire Avengers would get customized for sure, but I'm not sure if doing that to Fire Dragons or Dark reapers would be good, also Striking Scorpions. Can anyone give me answer on this? And if not - to which thread should I direct this question to?
This is pretty hotly debated. At the moment there is no solution for showing the craftworld colors for the aspect warriors.
yes and different aspect shrines have different variations on the colour schemes even within the same aspect .... 2 different scorpion shrines dont look the same, a single craft world can have multiple shrines for any or every aspect
Colour variety? Why would that only happen for Dire Avengers... Generally their 'Tabard' type deal corresponds to their shrine, along with their colour scheme. Generally, I am fairly sure there's not much precedent for adding Craftworld colours to Aspect Warriors, hence the hotly debated part. There's been a number of suggestions, but I think it's come down to adding Craftworld specific references on like armour accessories. My (and others) ideas were to have different shrines for each different Craftworld, but who knows how popular that is, since the Aspects got their colours from the most prominent Shrines of each Aspect i.e. the biggest Shrines across all Craftworlds. Tough call to make really.. the most I've seen GW do in the way of this is put, for example, a yellow piece of cloth on a Dire Avenger/Fire Dragon to represent Iyanden.
Something Like how the Ultimate apocoplypse mod for DoW 1 handles them could work well. For the most part they are the same with a few minor details that are the craftworld color to help them stand out a smidge more.
Well people I was just asking since games such as Dawn of War 1 and 2 had specific colour schemes assigned to colour craftworld. Tell me that Ulthwe DLC colour scheme in Dawn of War 2 didn't look awsome on heroes, banshees, guardians and others. It is epic! Just thought they might continue that kind of tradition on here as well, but I will respect developers decision on this.
Different Shrines have different colour schemes, however Shrines do not necessarily belong to only one Craftworld, so that doesn't make the problem any simpler to solve. I can't speak for anyone else, but I would prefer some trim elements to match the Craftworld colour for all the Aspect Warriors, even though that's not necessarily entirely in keeping with the fluff.
Really wish I could have Red or Black Avengers. I've seen some things, and let me tell you, Black Dire Avengers look sick as hell. That'd be mint.
