- Ajax Teacher Dunvel and Teacher Kurin were fighting, Ajax didn't like fighting. He was really excited to learn how to heal people, but he never imagined it would be dangerous. "Teacher Dunvel, Kurin says I can learn to heal people as a seer. My mother was a healer and I want to know how. I'm not strong like Kaija, or smart like father, but if we're going into the unknown I want to help!" He says this, remembering what his father had said about being prepared to face the unknown. Ajax eyes were tearful by this point. Upset because of his hightened senses and the unrest of the room. Kurin helped him to feel better. Still so very young. He gave her a smile to show he was feeling better. - Kaija Kaija had stayed in the hope of seeing Kurin's powers first hand, missing the scuffle before. It had been a colossal waste of time, and decided to leave while Ajax had his lesson. She noticed Zamehir, he or she looked very conflicted. Wanting to stay with Ajax or go with Dunvel. 'A little harsh for just wanting to learn more about himself. Maybe this guy needs to be taught a lesson.' She thinks. The idea was rendered moot when she remember how easily Dunvel had read her thoughts. She would find DalRan, drag him to the training room, and take her anger out there.
- Etrigen Using the fusion scrape, Etrigen tries the stun the creatures. It had little to no effect. Most weren't very large, mostly reaching his torso or knees. They had probably recently hatched from dormant eggs that had latched onto the hull. They might be small, but their blade like forelegs and mandibles were no joke. Turning to make a break for the sword, he was slashed accross the back by the closest arachnid. His void suit was thankfully lightly armored, but towards the center of the cut it had met flesh. Etrigen followed with a swift backwards low kick, crushing the creatures face. It wasn't dead, but it rolled in pain. Acquiring the sword, Etrigen turned to face his opponents. Taking an offensive stance. The creatures surge forward, attempting again to rush the lone gladiator. He had hoped for this. Kicking off, Etrigen became a whirlwind of flashing blades as he charged them. Not expecting this, the spiders were cut to ribbons in their moment of hesitation. "Come now, is that all the will you carry to end me? It will take more than that to claim my head. At least keep me guessing." Etrigen had killed four in that last attack. The smaller warriors seemed to retreat, while the larger strains kept up the defense. What followed next was not expected.
Kurin smiles. The other girl, Reika (changed her name to something more manageable) just arrived, looking a bit shy. She was about the same age as Ajax, she has neck long white hair and blue eyes. She is about the same height as Ajax but seems a lot more shy. She glances up at him, waving slightly, like saying "hi". Kurin gives both of them a smile "Ajax this is Reika, Reika, this is Ajax. It is time we developed your abilities" She smiles as she creates a large empty area in the middle of the room. She notions to them to sit down on the floor "To be able to use your abillities you must understand them first" She begins to talk about how the powers work and what they actually are. During the last part of the lesson does she ask both of them to try and "power up". Seeing how much power they can create so far. She explains how you do it and waits patiently on both of them. Reika closes her eyes and mumbles.m, a faint spark of energy can be felt from her, Kurin smiling at her before she turns her head to Ajax. "Your turn dear, try to create as much power as you can"
DalRan left the class-room silently and went off to the holding cells to see how Talmar was handling the offenders. In the kitchen, Farshin delicately prepared all the meat that would be served during the evening meal time. He meticulously went from piece to piece, making sure it was all done perfectly.
Zamehir was shocked by Dunvel's ultimatum. The anger he projected to Kurin for her comments were felt by Zamehir as if it were his own. However, Ajax concern and disappointment at his leaving was also strongly felt. Getting up from the desk, Zamehir left after Dunvel. Turnning once to look at Kurin, then Ajax. 'I'm sorry.' Then left. One of the guards stationed at the classroom after the incident gave Dunvel a serious stare. 'This will not do.' He thought to himself. "You keep watch, I gotta take care of something." He said to the other guard. Slowley following behind Dunvel and Zamehir.
The arachnids retreated only to return with reinforcements. A large strain approached from beneath an exhausted shield. It was the largest of the group, the smaller ones huddling to its side before one was crushed. This "encouraged" the rest to continue the attack. Etrigen had killed four and damaged one, but that left seven strong. With one sacrificed by the broodmother, that left six. Two warrior strains, three smaller, and the mother. With new leadership, the spiders attacked from two sides. Hoping to corner Etrigen. The mother approached slowly from the center, waiting for the others to distract the prey before claiming her meal. "Skreee!" She roared. The other five struck! Meanwhile... Kythriel was finishing up her kitchen shift. She had been assiged the task of coagulating milks into light eddibles for that evening's meal. @Jorimel
Dunvil made his way to the canteen with the child to his right. He took several glances at the sad child. Not sure if to apologize or just let the boy be. He is still so young, and without any parents.... "Zamehir, child. I am sorry for taking you away from your new friends. You are still too young to truly understand, but what she is teaching is dangerous. Nothing she can teach will help you, only corrupt. That women is young as well, probably only 100 years older then you. Yet she holds power enough to where I cannot tap into her mind or see her intentions." Dunvel paused to lead Zamehir into one of the booths. They both sat down across from each other, he took off his hood to look at the child eye to eye. Dunvel tried his best to keep his voice soft. "If you wish to learn anything, please come to me. I have the knowledge and experience to teach you anything worthy of being taught." Dunvel said, before he began cutting one of his thumbs with a knife that laid near him. "Even if she claims to only teach you right, she probably has her own form, one that is dangerous and not tested. She is to young to be taken in as any of Seer clans.". Dunvel licked his other thumb and pressed it against his injured one. Dunvel's bright blood seeped back into the thumb and the separated skin sewed itself shut. "I ask no, I beg you to keep your distance from the witch and her sorcery, all it leads to is death. You might have seen those men outside the class who she had slain. They died having their souls ripped out of them" Dunvel stated, before a server came to them. "Order something for both of us. Another would like to speak to me." Dunvel got up from the seat and walked towards the man who was obviously trying to be sneaky. He was doing a good job about it as well. If it wasn't for his weak mind, Dunvel might of never noticed him. "How may I help you?" He questioned at the man. Dunvel's hood was now back up, masking his face.(@PorOborosCain )
