"I will see that it is done personally, Charla see that the Alpha corpse is brought to the Doctor's residence. I'll give the village address to ensure no rumors spread. Etrigen is a respected member of this community and an out spoken supporter of Saurid integration. The sooner you have results, the better this situation can be kept from..." Before Archwin'd could finished, Calypsa spoke out. "Whatever the results may be, that doesn't change that we were attacked and it only ended with the Alpha's death. One of my youngest and brightest hunters was badly mauled during it. The same can be said over almost half a dozen others. Something will need to be done, I'll make sure of it." With that Calypsa left to carry out her duties. Archwin'd signed, having hoped to avoid this very situation. Calypsa had fire to use for lethal force against the Saurid now. Maybe she was right... Looking up he say Dr. Kour still seated. Everyone else had left, leaving the two alone in the council chambers. The white tree stood without its multicolored leaves. Only ever visible in direct sunlight. The sun was now setting, and the cycle reseting for the next. "The Alpha will be brought in an minute now, what did you wish to discuss?"
At the field, Sauird were being healed and put to sleep for their return trip to the forest. Kurin was tending to the gamma she had knocked aside with an earlier force push. Among the healers and hunters stood a lone knight. Captain Argent was clad in silver armor and helmet, keeping watch with the stationed hunters. @Wincent Zamehir stood with Ajax as they tended to both gardeners and saurid. Kaija was no where to be seen, having traveled back into the village with the injured DalRan. The damage done to Field 2 had been kept to a minimum. Much thanks was given to Etrigen for his quick thinking. Many spoke of what had transpired, only Kurin had been close enough to see what had happened. @DaKaptin Etrigen sat in a holding cell, very different from the ones aboard the colony ship. These were solid walls, with a both a physical and force wall to keep an Eldar, or dragon, contained. There was a tray with bread, soup, and beverage. Etrigen would not be joining everyone for the end cycle meal. They still ate together in a large hall, those who chose to anyways. They were a small and tight community, nothing stayed secret for long.
When Kurin was done with the care for the saurids she stands a up, stretching her back a bit before moving to the village again, she quickly finds Leroy "Leroy... Etrigen didn't kill the alpha" She had assumed they thought he had, it would be logical for them to belive that. She strokes her black and golden hair back, looking at him a deep seriousness "We where in the field, fighting against the Alpha. It was out of its mind, like some sort of disease. Then it got shot in the eye, killed instnantly." She sighes, looking up into her beloved's eyes
"A Harelquin met me. Wants me to lead an expedition, in order to discover drones that could help us discovering a webway gate. Warned me from an incoming Warp Storm, plus the fact that the Harlequins need to return to Cegorach. Also that Harlequin said it is our only chance of survival. Said Harlequin is Encog-Nito and is in fact Councilor Praetor." He spoke calm and concentrated. He would not make the mistake to have secrets from Archwin'd, despite all what was going on or was to come. The Exodites are Eldar which trust one another and work together for a better life. Not backstabbing and egoistic Eldar like the sadistic bastards of the Crone worlds they had left behind. And Dr. Kour would make sure that this new community would not fall prey to their old ways. Especially if it meant to make hard decisions.
- Ajax Ajax healed the Saurid with care, each one he treated revealed what had transpired during the attack. How they crossed the river, braving the wider stretch thanks to the low rainfall. The Alpha's uncontrolled hunger and behavior. How Etrigen had fough barehanded against them... Until meeting the Alpha. After that it had gone black. The Beta's memory black from unconsciousness. With that Ajax made to speak with Kurin, before she left to find her own answers. "Teacher Kurin, could I ask you what happened to the Alpha and my father? I'd ask Kaija but I haven't seen her." - Kaija Kaija sat with DalRan's unconcious form. He was treated and resting now. When she found him, he wasn't moving either. They had cleaned off the blood, treated his cuts and bites, his clothes replaced. She had not be present for that part. He saved all the gardeners, only to fall to a surpise attack... "Idiot... Stupid, idiot. Why didn't you call for help? If only you..." Kaija said on the verg of tears. A healer rested a hand on her shoulder. Informing her of his condition. He would live, but his recovery would be some time. The damage done was not easily repaired. 'And the beast that did it still draws breath... With one less limb anyways.' Kaija would be alone for the rest of the evening. Wanting to be alone for a while. OOC: I'll miss ya DalRan, hope you return to us someday. @E-50_Panzer
Kurin looks at Ajax and gives him a soft smile. "Your father fought against the Alpha very bravely, I tried to assist him. But someone shot the alpha Saurid in the eye and people belives it was Etrigens work." She pats him on his head "I am going to make sure your father donn't get in trouble, okay?" She kisses his cheek in a motherly way before walking off, to find Leroy.
"Nito... I knew I hadn't heard the last of the that clown and you say he's been masquerading as councilor Praetor all along? He came to me before, explained the possibility of the existence of the ancient gate. I told him we hadn't the time to scouring the planet, not before the security of this settlement could be established. Now that it has, I'm surprised he didn't come to me directly? Maybe he's afraid of angering me. Last time I was not very... welcoming to the idea. What do you make of it Kour? Is the danger spoken of worth the risk to locate and secure the gate?" As they spoke, one of he wraithbone tree branches bloomed a white and black petaled flower. Idraman was with them, if only to listen. Elsewhere... @DaKaptin Captain Argent listened to the boy and Kurin's exchange. The watched as Kurin left in a hurry to speak with the Chairman. 'She would have to wait, Archwin'd priorities were greater than one dead Saurid and a crippled old Gladiator.' As the Guard Captain thought this, Zamehir bumped into him before making his way to Ajax. Passing on the scenes he pieced together from all present during the conflict. Etrigen's prowess and skills on full display. Argent gripped his polearm tightly. Zamehir patted Ajax back to gain his attention. He seemed troubled by more than just his father's incarceration. "The Saurid will be alright. Another pack will accept them. Now we must do what we can to make sure this doesn't need to happen again. First, let's get something to eat. What do you say?" Later... After his meeting with Dr. Arcadia, Kurin would find him speaking to an assembled crowed of Exodites. Finishing up his closing statements. "I repeat, no fatalities were suffered by our people. Unfortunate, the same can not be for our Sauird neighbors. One was reported exhibiting odd behavior and died during the incident. Rest assured, everything is being done to repair the damage done to field 2 and tomorrow during the open forum we will address this matter in greater detail. As the planet cycle ends, another begins. Eat well and rest easy my friends." Chairman Archwin'd stepped down and greeted Kurin with a warm embrace. "I'm happy to see you were not among the injured my love. Be at peace, I know Etrigen is innocent. He is a dear friend and his name will be cleared. Dr. Kour is examining the killing blow now, he will have proof soon enough. For now, the day is long and my head aches from these matters. We can discuss this more if you wish, over refreshments?" Archwin'd new his duties were not yet done, but if he could spare a few moments. So many developments and few answers. The former Captain couldn't help but notice Dunvel's presence was conveniently missing. Having returned to the frontier where they couldn't easily follow. 'I don't know why you did it, but I won't let it spark further conflict. Should you return to us, know I will personally hold you accountable! Be safe out there, my wayward friend...' OOC: @Xaphen Dunvel is gone, just like DalRan, but that doesn't mean they won't play a part in the times to come. Know you always have a place here should you wish to return! Later Space cowboy!
<Dr. Kour Arcadia> "There is no risk for us per se, is there? I say we go with it. Surely Cegorach has plans of his own, but who are we to defy a god? If Isha would call after us, would we not also do whatever we can to be with her?" Kour shook his head, obviously signalling it was a rhetoric question. "Even if it would endanger us. I think it is our duty to a degree to allow him answer his call. We can always put guards on the Webway, seal it or do other things with it like creating an inhibition field, based on void shield technology. We can do security steps if we worry about invaders. But in all honesty... It could be our only way ever to meet other Eldar again. Who knows if we not one day need to run from this world, like from our old home? Or if somebody else runs from our old Empire and seeks for us, wanting to join us?" The Doctor sighed. "While I have certain fears what we could accidentally invite... I say we owe it to the Harlequins and Cegorach to at least assist them."
Kurin smiles a bit as she feels Leroys arms around her. She sighes a bit, happily before nodding "Yes... Of course. We can do that if it makes you happy." She smiles up at him, as he is a bit taller than her. Her green eyes looking into his "I am so happy with you... You know"
- Etrigen Sitting in the holding cell, Etrigen reflected on the day and how it lead to him being incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit. His wrists were still bound, but it didn't impede him from eating the provided food and drink. Boredom was setting in and all he had to communicate with were a couple of very quiet Guards. "Could either of you remove my bindings? I'd like to take this time to exercise until Archwin'd or someone comes to collect me.... Anyone?"
