Really? Didn't know. Still though, the hull looks very similar, even as far as the carvings go in the front (the back part looks more different, except for the railings). They could have been a little different.
Even if that's true in the lore, the model was still first used for the Dark Eldar, and now Harlequins are using the exact same one. Making them feel like a conversion. What's your source that they were a Harlequin thing first? I've been trying to find it, but so far I have nothing.
Not true in the lore, true in general. Before Deldar even had models there was a 2nd edition list for a Harlequin army and their transport was a Venom, which would later be adapted as the Deldar transport. If anything Deldar got the conversion. PDF should be attached.
Ah, I did see that in the sources on lexicanum, but the link didn't work. But it doesn't matter if a list from 50 years ago had a vehicle named the Venon for the Harlequins. Fact is, the Venom has been introduced as a Dark Eldar vehicle. And these Harlequin vehicles feel like conversions of that Dark Eldar vehicle.
Well it wasn't just a vehicle called a Venom. It was the exact same Venom Deldar eventually got in 3rd. It wasn't even a conversion.
Well, since the starweaver and voidweaver seem to be new vehicles, I would have wished some different details. The shape of the hull can be the same for all I care, it is a pretty shape! Anyway.
It's honestly the only half decent Eldar book. 40k books are like a stove I keep burning myself on, but this one surprised the hell out of me by not being completely horrible. Anywho, has this thread had some Blanche Eldar? I feel like this threads needs some Blanche.
Thanks for Blanche. Far from my favorite artists, but some of his stuff is fantastic. Though I'd very much like too see how someone with his drawing skill gets a job in a major company today. Even in GW. It would be hell of a luck =D
