Actually we were in the webway at the time of the birth, so we really didn't. We were just the only ones to continue down the path.
So after seeing what your actions let to you didn't learn nothing, but you even continue to do such monstrosities
Saffron, my dear, please don't hurt yourself in seeking responsibles. Those who basically created She-Who-Thirsts, if every single Eldar isn't to be blamed, were consummed the very nano-second reality collapsed onto itself to open a rift on the Warp. All of us are responsible. @Saunders I understand Eldar wouldn't swing their stuff around when running. I'd actually perfectly agree with that. But if you happen to play EC, occasionnaly against Eldars, do you really feel threatened by a warlock or a scorpion running towards you with their current animation? Somehow, I think their animations are still too human. Take DoW1 animations: Eldar's stride are long and graceful in general while Space Marines are pumping arms and armor around. EC's Eldar stances are "too human" to me as well... I'm not sure on how to describe it, but it lacks the usual aetheral "Eldar-y" feeling, All stances look the same, regardless of the Aspects, and this bugs me.
The only thing that irks me about Eldar animations is the sword-wielding taunt. The sword swinging seems odd and looks like the character just moves the sword around and not swinging.
Well we did stop. Then are souls stared to get sucked out. Only through pain and suffering can we stave off the void growing in are souls...... Plus it's too much fun to quit.
The animations are god awful for Eldar and I honestly cannot be bothered to seriously play them right now. They murdered the Chaos Marine voices too and hearing/seeing the Eldar just about brought me to tears (cuz its that bad). NOBODY in any military discipline would carry their freakin' gun barrel pointing straight up near their head. You do that ceremoniously, that's it. Gun pointing down until you're actually going to fire it. You hold a rifle with two hands, not one even when its strapped to your chest and marching because you need to be ready to fire at a moments notice. How can anyone even argue this? When someone says "art of war" or "artful warriors" or "noble combatants" I don't think pansy sissy looking elves that run with a stick up their ass. I think lions and lionness' I think purposeful and graceful strides not clumsy looking flips with a derpy run animation. I picture Sun Tzu, samurais, and proud/clever/graceful WARRIORS.... Not meak, weak, sissy-sounding prancing faeries that strut in high heels and do bad flips. I actually do collect Eldar IRL and I understand how similar they are to High Elves. Noble, graceful, psychic, see the future, blah blah blah. In a lot of the books and lore, neither of these races EVER comes across as weak and dandy looking. But in every single Warhammer game to date that's ever been made, both High Elves in Fantasy and Eldar in 40k always look and sound AWFUL. ... Why is it so hard to get right? Its not complicated. They are well trained combat masters who are the elder race. ITS IN THEIR FREAKIN' NAME! ELDAR! COME ON! Masters of war are deadly and efficient. Holding your gun with one hand while running is HELLA inefficient. They also have no actual special combat maneuvers that are specific to Eldar currently in the game. I hope those get put in eventually. There's no real tactic to them currently but they are supposed to be specialised deadly units that are part of a whole. They're clumsy looking and awful with inaccurate weapons and bad attack/run animations. Even the sword attacks look terrible. I honestly have never been this disappointed before in game development. Everyone will say "ALPHA BUILD ALPHA BUILD!"... They are close to release and the voices and animations are mostly done. They're unlikely to go back and re-do it so we're stuck with this garbage yet again. Another flop for Eldar in the Warhammer games. Hopefully Dawn of War 3 will get it right this time where everyone else continuously fails. Like did nobody bother to even Google Eldar pictures from the artists who work at Games Workshop? 2 minutes and I already see dozens of pictures depicting them as masters of war with high tech/advanced weaponry and graceful yet deadly art. Guess I'll be playing Orkz. Hopefully they don't screw those up as well. =.= To anyone who says they are "fine".... I don't even know what to say to you cuz you probably don't even know why people are so harshly criticising the Eldar in the first place. No hope for some of you. I mean lets just look at some of the basic artwork that comes out from Games Workshop and Warhammer fans alike: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/10/104878/1968464-warhammer_40000_eldar.jpg http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net..._7th_Ed.png/revision/latest?cb=20150316065130 http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net...vengers.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120822073640 http://pre04.deviantart.net/1460/th...ion_splash_by_diegogisbertllorens-d9r5vfx.jpg DO THEY LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE HIGH PITCHED VOICES AND ARE CLOWNING AROUND TO YOU? DO THEY STRIKE YOU SOMEHOW AS WEAK, INFERIOR, OR INEFFICIENT WITH THEIR COMBAT TECHNIQUE AND MARTIAL PROWESS? Which part did I misunderstand about "masters of war"? Would you really want to mess with the above images or would you rather be tickled by the Eldar currently in the game? Shouldn't be a hard comparison. Where did the translation get lost when Games Workshop sent the dev team pictures from their own artists and box art of Eldar? I'm confused. Google and the Warhammer books I have paint a completely different picture from what I'm seeing in game. edit: Eldar have poise, wisdom, speed, intelligence, and lethality. Of all which didn't get translated to the current state of what's being shown in game. I'll let the voices slide for now as its bearable but the gun sounds are all horrific. If you want to hear what "pew pew" sounds like for space guns, go play Planetside 2 and check out the Vanu Sovereignty weapons. They used to sound terrible but they did a redo on all their guns and they sound MUCH better and pew-pewy. I don't even know what to call the sounds that they currently have. Just so "meh, weak". Lots of room for improvement ladies and gents. Did the girly seductive-strut execution animation for the Storm Guardian not somehow raise a flag anywhere? Who would even execute a hated foe like that? That's not arrogance, pride, or nobility, that's just silly nonsense. I know these people all put a lot of time and effort into making games and I understand the pains of game design myself, but holy hell did none of the dev team even bother to try with the Eldar? A graceful execution would be precise, swift, and brutal all in one. 1 shot to the head, no extra ammo wasted, no need to waste extra shurikens on filthy humans, heretics and orkz (because they know they are going to thrive and conquer). All the other races are beneath them and aren't worth the extra shots. Or if you were going for the arrogant approach of "we have lots to spare because you're all inferior to our superior race" then the execution would be several shots like the space marine but precise and in points that all caused the most pain or inflicted the most damage. Take your pick, it doesn't matter but omg is the current animation not anything you would ever have depicted Eldar to be. I fear for Dark Eldar now and how they will turn out given what's currently being shown. I think I need a hug and a box of cookies, my soul hurts from this excuse for Eldar. Will turn Orkz until fixed.
In more posts deeper in this forum, I mentioned Eldar should be Lions or Tigers, precise, deadly, purposeful, and described Dark Eldar as hyenas. Frothing at the mouth killing machines.
Hawks have the best execution (with primary) can be called "graceful execution", is pleasant to watch when happen in both side, before eldar implementation top 1 was knife execution SM/CSM . - SS have pretty gory (ofc without blood hehe) execution not too graceful but pretty nice visual
