iirc CSM do have some moral greyness, with false emperor and such. Plus Alpharius Omegon secret shenanigans. And I think Night Lords don't believe in Chaos Gods, they fight the emperor as they perceive him as evil. "Even during the Horus Heresy, the Night Lords were, and largely still are, misotheists.
