Why does everyone talk about how rare open world server technology for MMOs is? Its fucking been existent since Runescape. Every god damned MMO has an open world....its not a question of does the tech exist, its a matter of does the company want to spend money to get that tech that DOES exist. Clearly the answer for bE is they dont want to spend the money
Read what I said again. First of all, again, "It's been existent since Runescape" clearly shows you know nothing about how game engines work. Runescape uses an old as fuck engine with shitty graphics and animations and shit which makes it possible obviously, same with PS2! Even if they wanted to, they couldn't make it 2000 vs 2000 player open world cause of several reasons, first of all, they'd have to migrate from UE4 to something older as UE4 would impact systems TOO MUCH (Even high tier ones!) if an open world game with the graphics and content as EC has was released. Second of all, "Every god damn MMO is an open world" ... ... ... No. Third of all, again, the "tech" is computers, capability, currently you're saying "Why don't devs just get GPUs stronger than the strongest GPU on the market today (Nvidia 1080 or whatever)..." FFS man do some research before you post stupid shit. That comment gave me temporary eye damage so I hope you're happy!
I probably shouldn't care about how much another person is being mislead but I simply do it cause I'm bored and because I know that he couldn't be more wrong. This wasn't about protecting EC even anyway, so dont jump on me for that, this was about the basics of HOW THE FUCK engines work.

Being nice doesn't matter here. I've been nice numerous times and have gotten rude replies as well as when I'm also "rude", why should I bother trying to make polite posts when I can just say "Fuck it..." and not care about how rude I get as long as I say what I meant to say because it's faster and nobody cares since it's the internet and people get insulted all the time anyway. Well just because others are being rude twatts doesn't justify yourself being rude, sometimes you get pisst and it's not always easy but always try be the bigger and more mature man. Not all will respect you for being polite but the ones that does are the ones worth talking to anyway, being pissy will repel those peeps tho. Tbh I don't post much anymore, I'm a creeper nowadays. This is just sad to watch. I see people that want it game as good as it is possible are jumping to eachothers throats. Then wondering why threads are closed. You are insulting eachother about things that are not important and irrelevant now. Every question was asked dozens of times already and got dozens of different answers. I am not calm about what is happening but really repeating the same cycle of spaming threads/turning them ito fights/being closed and spamming again is just pointless. Probably we will have patch this thursday and stream a day later. Let`s just wait for it. Whatever arguments will be pointed nothing about release date could be changed.
That's a long way to state the obvious. Worst case, game fails, we never see improvements and the servers close.
