Agreed, look at WoW and SWTOR, once you cap they turn into waiting rooms while you sit in queues to be ported into death matches and capture the flag mods.

It's not even Massive Multiplayer any more.
    Sledgecrushr likes this.

I don't know, I feel like calling it an RPG of any sort is misleading, you know?

If i had to guess, it would be due to the dark millenium screen shots that exist on the web that have a pretty big similarity to the WoW interface.

Now a days calling WoW an RPG is misleading as well.

Like I said earlier in the thread, Wikipedia says it's an MMORPG, the game is being advertised on MMORPG.com and it has been billed as an MMORPG for a long time.

There's not really a guess needed.
  6. To me Eternal Crusade is going to be a MMOTPSRPG. Folks are saying that this game wont be like WoW but there is going to be some kind of level and equipment progression like WoW. There is supposed to be instanced dungeons like WoW. Basically all Im hoping for is that a top end player wont have too much of an advantage over a new player. I know in Ps2 if I start a brand new character with basically nothing that I can still kill an end game player.

Action MMO sounds good enough. Woudn't call it an rpg.

It's already been stated with the horizontal balancing and the loadout points that a new character can kill a veteran character as easily as the other way around, the only advantage the veteran will have is a larger choice of loadouts and skills to specialize in the job that he is going to do today, whereas a new player will have a more standard/general equipment and skill set.

The more powerful/weakest characters are the real specialists, players that have put all of their XP into a single class so they are essentially better at that class than someone who can spread their points and switch classes, but gimped at everything else.
