not at all. of all the moderators, you are BY FAR the most present. be it here, be it on twitch, etc. you do not shy away from (might be tongue in cheek, irrelevant) to mention bans, *leans against tree and smile* and other such posturing. I dare say all the other mods combined....COMBINED, would have barely 50% of the presence and visibility you have. Now this would be fine were it not you are constantly dropping the ball. When this occurs, like now, you hide behind the tired old: 'i just work here, others are mods too' routine. I have seen posts far less offensive removed, while in this very thread there;'s plenty of insults etc to find, just from people with the 'right opinion'. I reported those posts, they still stand, while others got removed, those are the facts. It is of no concern to me what 'happens behind the scenes' or if I 'look foolish', I am pointing out that in this very thread you can see proof the forumrules dont count for everyone and have so far been enforced on people with a critical opinion. You dont get to boss people around, a position you basically begged for, I remember you coming here as a normal member and pretty much from the start started people what to do. To my eternal stupidity I suggested that if you liked bossing people around so much you should apply to be a mod, so yeah, this is partially my own fault. In short: this isnt a real job, and be glad because you are not very good at this, you volunteered, and you do NOT get to hide behind silly excuses such as 'you dont know what happens behind the curtains, we are so busy etc etc'. git gud or get out.
Plain and simple you are wrong but you are too far baised against me to ever see it any other way. Not every post reported is viewed as being something that is trying to start a fight. You might see it as such but others dont always share that opinion and I will be perfectly honest with you not matter how much you might not choose to believe it we do get on people all the time in conversations. I currently have over 48 pages in my inbox of me getting on people. And you are right I don't get to boss people around but I do get to tell people to chill out before they start losing posts and if they keep it up I start removing posts till they learn or they get mad and make another childish "I hate Asheru" post.
if you would moderate consistently you wouldnt need 48 pages of whatever it is. thats my entire point. im not going to start to an entire quote bonanza, both both the OP of this thread and Kharn admitted they set this up to bait, they insulted: 'narrow little brains' and what not of other childish insults. these are not up for interpretation, these are insults, they have been reported, they still stand. dont try to babble around the facts. The delicious irony is that personally i dont give a fuck about insults or baiting, its not about that, its about how the rules only seem to apply to certain people, and thats stalinist commie bullshit which i hate with a passion. the same people who keep babbeling about how its so toxic here and how rageboys insult and hurt their feelings, dish out insults and toxic behaviour on a DAILY BASIS. also dont make yourself to be a martyr, i have nothing against you as a person, i just think you are not doing a good job as a moderator, and it isnt because of lack of effort, im sure you put in a lot of time and effort, but you're just not very good at it. im just being painfully honest here.
That's your opinion and your more than welcome to it. It's wrong but it's ok because at the end of the day it's someones opinion online and if you let that get to you, you need more help than I can give. My job while I don't get paid for it is to moderate posts, and I have two options. One is to continue to do what I do and make sure that posts that honestly need to be dealt with are. The other option is to become a much more nasty moderator and start cracking down on any post that so much as can even be mistaken as rule breaking and constantly be deleting posts whenever they are reported. Some of you will lose about half your posts each day. I choose not to use that style of being a Moderator. Someone was mean to me in a childish way on the internet... Really Galen?
There were some "remove Asheru mod status" threads in the past so don`t say that only he is biased. Those were quite popular threads at least until they were closed. I am happy that you are warning people before locking the thread. This is much better then closin it without warning. But what you should do is NAMING SPECIFIC PERSONS in this warning and BANNING THEM if they will ignore it.
Thing about that Cupcake is you force moderators to take sides at that point by flooding posts you don't like till they are closed. Not everything is always going to go "your" way (Not talking about you specifically) and if you know you can just trash post to get something locked how far do you think posts will go?
You mean when I voice my opinion then have to defend it from ravenous hordes of white knights? Well yeah, I'd assume things wont always go my way, however I do like it when I can continue to have a good discussion with someone and only have the troll posters comments removed rather than the entire thread, resulting in me having to discuss things in DM's rather than on the thread where people can join in on the convo.
