Well....then you are probably one of the only people ever that don't care about graphics or how well the game runs? What's the point of buying a game if it has shit graphics or doesn't run properly? The Space Marine proportions are way off on their model and the CSM look comical at best. If you want to stay true to the lore, then they have been doing a decent job. Go look at the trailer that they released and watch as the marine is walking out of the darkness and has his neck exposed between his armor and helmet...that is a joke that they released it with that in their trailer, as the lore states that the armor is fully sealed to protect the marine from obvious threats and to also fight in the vacuum of space. So if you want lore, then idk man.
I like your attitude on this! But for me the atmosphere is a bit important as well, that comes with good work on details and graphics. But I don't doubt that they are able to get this done.

With all this "early-release" craze out in the market right now people have lost the concept of Alpha, Beta, Final. There is a huge misconception of what Alpha really is out there for the consumer. Alpha was usually reserved for quality assurance within the studio, all artists signed non-disclosure agreements so that nothing would get out and people would not talk shit about their creation process. Alpha is also the time where you are not balancing the game or creating finished product. You are merely just testing your hardware and software. At this point the developer is just trying to figure out if when they left click a bullet meets a target, very simple things, if i press my dodge button, do i duck behind cover? then they move on to can this game engine handle these things, lets push it to the max it can handle, then they test servers...make sure that can handle the number promised. THIS is alpha, if the game is playable it has reached Beta. Now that being said, I do not think that bE should be showing pre-alpha or alpha to an audience such as E3. There is not enough people that understand the work required to do this and appreciate what you are doing. Just hold back until you have something concrete to show.

Listen to this guy. I'm an animation student myself, and we go through countless placeholder model and animations. You have to have placeholders to get the gameplay mechanics down correctly. This *HAS* to be done. Artistic assets are always being refined and trimmed up. Examples: Check out early Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (and I do mean EARLY) screenshots. Check out God Of War screenshots/video of it being built. They looked nothing like the final, gorgeous product. People being butthurt over pre-alpha footage is mind boggling. If this was Beta, then yeah, I'd agree it's crap, but it obviously isn't a beta. Have some faith and give them time.

That there will be no significant alterations done what so ever... So I guess there's a high probability someone is going to loose a left nut... Companies might have made him burn some money but his ego and big mouth might end up costing him his left nut. (or did I misinterpret the whole nut-thing )
