That guy keep telling people to hold their wallet because the pre-alpha less likely to change with his countless experience, of course I wouldn't buy a game like that. But he bought warrior pack anyway, anyone notice his Menial status? Menial founders required 40,000 pts. Cipher required 80,000 pts.... Better ignore him.
And all I'm saying is it's rather silly to expect that our buildings are still untextured grey boxes by release time. Hmm, yes. Those monochromatic rectangular prisms certainly do bear a striking resemblance to finished assets, old chap. *adjusts monocle* That said I never pre-order anything because I know no matter how much someone might believe in a dev team, Real Life has a way of kicking people in the balls when they least expect it. Not to mention there have been game devs that tried to disguise pre-rendered footage as gameplay, or coded in special effects for E3 that they then cut out of the release game *cough*Ubisoft*cough*, though so far that does not seem to be the case here. Other people might not be as cynical as me, or perhaps they just have more money than me so they feel showing $40 of support for a 40k game is worth it even if disaster strikes and the game never launches. And you know what? It's their money, they can do that if they feel like it. Once the game has the features I want at a price I can afford, then I'll buy it. Until then I'll keep watching, and encouraging it to hopefully grow into a game that I would want to play. I like to call it "cautious optimism".
Welcome to the rest of the internet and how they interpret everything going on in these forums without the context of constant dev explanations. Hence the bad rep I'm talking about.
Beyond industry experience of 6+ Years. What you're saying is simply wrong. You know this how? You ever been involved in development? There are literally thousands of leftover assets from development in pretty much every single game ever made. This includes models, animations, textures, level designs, sounds etc. You simply have no idea what on earth you're talking about. We've had videos long before E3. Enjoy having yet again no clue what you're talking about.
