in regards to OP, there is always going to be negative feedback. For example, the quoted article seems really exaggerated and useless (although some users are saying there are some meaningful quotes in there). There isn't anything reasonable that bE can do to eliminate reception like this. bE has mentioned that they are well aware of the cost and benefit trade of showing off early works, but I recall them saying it seems to be working for them, and they're still doing it, so I guess it still is
i guess at the root of it all my stance is this: right now only people who care about the IP are paying attention. right now, i've got 800 former alliance-mates, and maybe 5 of them are even following this game. the concept that 'bad press' or 'poor footage quality' is going to affect this game 18 months before launch is pretty ridiculous. i'm also against the 'vertical slice' concept, as it's a good way to get a developer into a lot of trouble regarding promises that don't come true.
